While a single photo may not be enough to give a large amount of detail, a single photo find can often be an adventure in searching out a great find. This ’56 Bel Air looks quite promising, as the drive side rocker and quarter look excellent even though the car has been sitting for 30 years. The original drive-train is in place and it sounds like the seller has most, if not all, of the bright-work for this Chevy. Also this is a two door car, so interest and value shoots up a bit more for that detail. I have had my fair share of single photo finds that wound up being awesome finds, and this Chevy looks like it could be just that, depending on the seller’s asking price. Check out this Bel Air here on craigslist out of Grandview Iowa and tell us if you would you investigate this single photo find!

Already gone.
Apparently, someone did investigate the ’55 2 door post based on a single photo and liked what they saw.
Hey, Barn Finds what happened to the CL archives listings that would be posted if the vehicle posted on CL sold?
Hmm sitting on ground is going to give a big surprise to someone that’s costly 😮
It looks like that may be concrete that it’s sitting on. That will still contribute to rot but not as bad as dirt. But the underside definitely should be inspected before making a purchase.
I bought a barn find 1955 Austin Healey 100-4. Exterior looked nice. It was sitting on a pile of cow manure which rotted out the underside. I knew it in advance and bought it for the metal trim items and mechanical bits.
If you are into the bow tie cars it just might be worth checking this one out! Looks solid to me!
Looks like she’s been there a long, long time.
