Solid Un-Cut Survivor! 1974 Ford Bronco

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Early Broncos continue to be extremely popular and the prices remain steady and climbing. This 1974 appears to be very solid and a true un-cut survivor. Located in Alhambra, California, the ad doesn’t say whether it has spent its life in California but based on the condition, I wouldn’t be surprised if it has. It can be found here on eBay with a current bid of $26,600 but the reserve hasn’t been met yet. If you’ve been looking for a really solid Bronco project, this might be the perfect one for you. Have a look.

A big issue with first-generation Broncos is rust. The floor pans, rockers, and other parts usually show some signs of rust and can be extensive and expensive to repair. But with this one, the front floors appear to be solid with just a bit of surface rust. The rear part of the floor tub looks good as well. Other than a billet steering wheel, the interior appears to be all original but the seller does say the front seats have been rebuilt with new foam and covers. The rear seat looks just fine and wouldn’t need anything more than a cleaning. The dash pad has also been replaced and looks great.

The original 302 cubic inch V8 and original transmission have recently rebuilt and both come with a 2-year transferable warranty. The engine has been upgraded with a new Edelbrock intake and carburetor and RV cam. The bronco also features power steering and the seller says the 4×4 system “works great.”

The Glen Green paint is original, but the seller says it has been touched up in spots. Overall, this Bronco presents really well and anyone should be proud to own it. I don’t know what the reserve will be, but hopefully, the seller and a new owner can reach an agreement they are both happy with. What do you think of this survivor?

Nice find for sure!! Oddly it’s never been molested!! Oddly in a good way!! It would be nice to have but not at a price higher than $26K!! Well not for me anyway!! My 73 with the ranger package cost me $1000 and a new battery!!

Looks like a pretty nice Bronco. It just bothers me with statements in ads that are either untrue or unprovable.

    1) “All original” except for steering wheel, dash pad, door panels, carb, intake, cam, etc.
    2) “Original” engine and transmission. While it most certainly could be there is no way of proving it.

Some day some people will be stuck with a lot of high priced first generation Broncos.

I’m sure these are great 4×4’s but I just don’t get why they bring such crazy money.

    I came in w/Andy:
“original” and “rust free” remind me of the present “Prez Speak” –
one that needs no ‘fact check’ can just B seen as fake news on
its face. No matter, just nother bronk. BUT…all ways perks up
my thinkin on honesty re: the rest. (& I’m an owner).

Let’s hope it stays below $50K as its not more than that TV ocean star of the ’60s friend to ‘Porter’, ‘Sandy’ and ‘Bud’, the “Ricks” family…”Et, et, et! …screeeeeeech!”
