The successful Mustang got its first restyle in 1967 and continued to sell well, although not quite as briskly as its 1966 high water mark. That would be the year the car would get its first serious competition in the form of the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird from GM and the Mercury Cougar from inhouse. The Plymouth Barracuda was also in the picture but sold in lesser numbers. This ’67 coupe is said to have been stored for more than 20 years and – as such – is not presently in running condition. Mustang production would top 472,000 units in 1967, with 356,000 of them being coupes like the seller’s Lime Gold edition. This is a two-owner car with a clean title that’s been idle for the last couple of decades. It looks to have been living under a canvas shed with an opening in just the front. Perhaps not the ideal way to store a car, but better than all the way outside. There is plenty of surface rust on the front end of the car and the bumper is pitted, but we don’t get any photos of the rest of the car to determine the quality of the sheet metal or chassis.

The reported mileage on this Ford is 86,000 and – at some point – a 302 cubic inch V8 found its way under the hood. That motor came out in 1968 to replace the 289, so we assume something happened to the original engine. It’s said to be paired with an automatic transmission and looks to have a set of aftermarket Cragar mag wheels in the fender wells, at least up front. We’re told the interior is black, but no photos there either. This might be a good project car – if we had more information and visuals of it.
