Readers Robert R and Chuck F sent in two finds between them. They are both worth considering if you enjoy British sports cars. Here they are: 1960 TR3A, described by the seller thusly: “poor baby, least there was a tarp”. Quite a bit of rust, no engine or transmission, but restorable if you’re ambitious. Listed here on eBay with a buy-it-now of $3,333 but offers considered. Located in Emeryville, California. The other is a 1965 TR4. Serious rust on this one, but as a body-on-frame structure, it can be repaired if you really want to. Listed here on eBay with a buy-it-now of $1,000 but offers considered. Located in Millport, New York. Let us know if you’re interested in these finds–which one would you choose? Special thanks to Robert and Chuck for these finds!
there is more to the story of the tr3 seller based on all the other vehicles in the back ground of the photos on this and the other 6 listings on ebay. price of the tr3 has been lowered to $2333. i would rather have a tr3 then a tr4 but not sure about these two. interesting finds.
I think I’d choose the TR3 over the TR4…mainly because I’ve never had a TR3 on the road!
No title for the TR4. And from looking at the pictures and reading the description I would say that’s a decent price but it really is only good as a parts car. Way too far gone to bring back to life.
The tr3 just sold to a friend, it was in that same hoard as the mga featured here a few weeks ago. Only a nice tr3 and a healey with chevy power are left. DD
