Tree Damaged 1963 Studebaker Avanti

1963 Studebaker Avanti

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

If the driveway find we featured the other day was too expensive for you, may I suggest this instead? It’s a ’63 Avanti and supposedly was running when put into storage over 25 years ago. There’s one big problem though. Apparently a tree fell on the car at some point and caused some serious damage. That’s a shame too because it looks like this was a nice car before the incident. You had better be skilled with the mat and resin because this one is going to need lots of fiberglass work. The seller is including some things that may make the job easier as well as an extra rebuilt engine and a 4-speed. Putting this one right would take a lot of work, but the end result could be lots of fun. Take a look here on eBay where it is listed with a starting bid of $2,000 and no reserve.

another clue that maybe it is best for parts: He says he previously made one car out of two parts cars…??

Cheap way into Avanti ownership if you can get it for two grand. Shame about the tree shredder though. Huh, what’s that you say? Oh. Hmm…

That tree certainly hit a home run with this one. It might be better to find a new body.
