It is always nice to see a time capsule like this 1935 Ford pickup. It has a couple of vintage custom touches but looks like it just drove out of 1950. Mid 30s trucks like this one have amazing lines. The fenders have a very graceful arch, the grille and headlight combination is very attractive, and the roof has a great shape. This one can be found for sale here on eBay with a requested opening bid of $18,900 there has been one bid. The truck is located in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, and wears vintage Wisconsin license plates. Take a closer look at this awesome old truck.
The interior looks fairly original other than the antique fan mounted to the steering column and the ’37 Ford gauges. The polished shiny shift knob sticks out against the dull patina of the steering wheel and dash. The seller says both windows need to be replaced but “all the hardware is there.” There isn’t a ton of legroom in these trucks, but sometimes you have to sacrifice comfort for style.
You can see the flathead looks mostly original and untouched. The ad says the truck runs and drives but needs a little TLC. I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I would probably start with the set of locking pliers clamped to the starter solenoid.
This truck has had some custom features over the years. You can see the extra lights upfront. The seller says that the truck also features 1938 Ford taillights and fishtail exhaust. So, what do you think about this one? Would you drive it as-is or restore it?
Nice old truck but never found the taillights. Buy it, drive it, enjoy it.
The tail lights are mounted on the rear fenders. In the seventh image a bezel can just barely be seen.
This one would look great at my place. I have to admit that it’s in far better shape than the one I already have. I admit that the ’35 gauges are pretty sparse and hard to read can see why someone installed later gauges. however, I have somewhat of a problem with that V8-60 engine that resides in that engine bay. The 60 didn’t come out until 1937 and it was what Henry deemed to be a more economical engine without having to produce a six-cylinder (he hated six cylinders). I love the vintage fan but hate the spinner…
So, this is your green 35? Just going by the one pic, I wouldn’t necessarily call it far better. Looks extremely straight and solid! Maybe the pass side rear fender is dented? I’d love to have this one posted or yours at MY place : )
Do the needle nose Vise Grip pliers come with the truck? Its nice, but IMHO its overpriced. Some projects cost way more to do than just buying one already complete. For this reason, my accountant is not my mechanic.
I can see this old thing drawing a crowd at Lowe’s or HD.
If you have a title to a truck that the vin number doesn’t match do you really have a title? Askin for a friend.
I would think you might have a problem at the DMV.
If one digit is off, that is probably forgivable—though Is obviously some registration and confirmation will be required…but completely different? I think that is a problem. Depending on the locale, no title is not a good situation either, but perhaps no worse than one with the wrong VIN.
This looks like a very nice complete truck ,in way above average condition , especially for a commercial vehicle. However, even as good as it is, the price is at the high end of what I would expect it to be. The V 8 60 is a problem, they work for midgets, boats and coffee tables, not so much for a P/U truck.
Steering wheel ?
I love the suicide knob on the steering wheel. I had one of those on my Scout. It only took a couple good whacks to teach me how not to use it. I love this old truck; almost as much as a 34/35 Hudson Terraplane pickup.
Don’t worry about the title, you wouldn’t get stop, it’s to old ,cops will look the other way…
In Texas, you need a title to register it so you can get tags. Po-Po will stop you for sure if you don’t have tags…
Hi all, I’ve had a busy summer. I’ve been working with a high school shop teacher to enhance his weld program for the coming school year. we have built a small off road dune buggy similar to the old fl 250 Honda Oddessey. we will display our proto type at the school in hopes that the sudents will show interest in the program. we will build another this school year. as for this truck its to bad old Henry hated inline six cylinders, this would be a good one to get one. Oh it needs paint and body work too.
Yes this is a very nice truck .would love to see it in my yard williawith my name on it
