In the 1960s, no one offered more station wagons than Chevrolet. Within its full-size cars alone, each of the four series was represented: Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala, and Caprice. The Impala was the most popular and would include the seller’s three-seat wagon for 1967. It looks worn and tired overall but does run, at least marginally, and will need to be restored. During the fourth generation of the Chevy Impala (1965-70), station wagon production was not documented by series, but by type of engine. Out of 152,100 total wagons Chevrolet built in ’67, 140,700 would have a V8 motor like the seller’s which has a 327 cubic-inch powerplant with a 4-barrel carburetor.
This wagon has the appearance of a long-stored vehicle with much of that being outside. That means it was subject more to damage from the sun rather than water since it’s an Arizona car. The Chevy has been repainted at least once and that two-tone job is faded and flaking away. The body isn’t too bad, although rust is present in the rear quarter panels, floorboards, and a few other places. The chrome is not bad, and the glass looks fine. There isn’t much left of the original interior that won’t need attention. The fact that this is a 3-seat wagon limits the number originally built, but we don’t know by how much.
We’re told the motor is original and runs when coaxed, but the carb at a minimum will need attention. The gas tank was previously dropped and cleaned out along with the fuel lines. It has factory air conditioning, but since the belt is missing it likely needs work. The seller thinks the transmission is a TH-400 and it works as it should as do the brakes. The tires are shot and will only work as rollers for now. The seller has provided a video of the wagon running for interested parties to get a better feel for its condition.
Makes more sense than any new SUV POS. Holds more people and cargo and doesn’t cost $75,000 like my daughters new Audi.
Imagine sinking a fraction of the Audi or any Suv of that into this, what a great finished car you would have. That would Appreciate daily, unlike new stuff sold today.
My high school had one of these for driver’s-ed. Small V8, automatic and no power anything. I learned to parallel park it to pass Ohio’s D/L test. After that, I can park just about anything,no cameras needed.
*sigh*, that’s somebody’s daughter.. .
Anyway, this wagon has good bones. The fixed quarter windows love to rust and leak. Just about everything for the interior is reproduced. The fun would be hunting the yards up north for original bits and pieces.
275HP 327cid, TH400 and the 12 bolt are pretty stout, so some maintenance and TLC, and you may be set.
A/C and third row a big plus on any wagon. You got the optional power rear window with the third seat, too.

think about it, whens the last time you even saw one of these, unrestored on the road as a daily ? Id fix the interior and mechanics (maybe with a few upgrades) …some cool rims and tires, and drive it every single dayyyyyyyyyyyyyy . w / family even better.
father had a 6y biscayne wagon, 283 with 3 on the tree. Beautiful car, took my road test on it and passed 1st time, no p/s! Like the guys with good taste on this listing say, this would be a beauty fixed up. Good luck and happy motoring!
