This 1950 Desoto Custom is sitting in it’s shed somewhere in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, under it’s dusty cover waiting to be rediscovered. It’s a very original and rust free car. The owners bought it from the original owner in the mid seventies, had the engine rebuilt and drove it until 1995. A 12 volt conversion was started and never finished so there it sits. It’s listed here on eBay, where bidding is just over $4,000. In addition to the usual mechanical issues from sitting, the electrical work will have to be completed, as well as upholstery work and replacing the passenger side rear window. It’s not worth enough to justify spending much money on it, but it would make a nice old driver, wouldn’t it?

waiting for the Suburban to come available
it is hard to tell if the paint is faded or not, a good guess is that it is . continue the 12 v conversion that was started..completely redo the interior period correct seating the underside to be redone, I’d have disc brakes cherry bombs for exhaust blackwall radials and we’re good to go
