1984 Dodge Ramcharger 4×4 4-Speed

This 1984 Dodge Ramcharger is up for sale with less than two days remaining in the auction here on eBay. The 4WD Ramcharger is located in Santa Clara, Utah, and has had the same owner from 1984 to 2020. The Ramcharger is equipped with a 318 cubic inch V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. With 18 bids in the bank, the Ramcharger has been bid up to $3,652.

The blue interior looks original and is very well preserved except for a tear on the driver’s seat. The Ramcharger is equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and cruise control. The headliner inside the Ramcharger was removed at some point revealing the double layer steel roof. There are a few items that will need work including the air conditioning that is nonworking. Also, the passenger door only opens from the inside and the rear hatch struts have lost their mojo.

The 318 cubic inch V8 engine is believed to be the original engine and is said to run and drive well. The alternator and battery have been replaced recently. The truck comes with its long term maintenance records. The tires are cracked from dry rot and are not safe or reliable. The 4WD system is said to work properly. The front differential is a Dana 44 with automatic locking hubs. The rear differential is a Chrysler 9.25 limited-slip unit.

The light blue paint on the exterior has seen better days. The seller discloses that the factory roof vent is broken and will need to be replaced. The truck is also equipped with aftermarket running boards, grill guard, and driving lights. The Ramcharger spends most of its life in the Phoenix, Arizona area and is said to be rust free except for one spot on the lower quarter panel. This should make a nice truck for someone to drive while they restore it.

Are you sure you didn’t want to add PERFECT PATINA , ( aka needs painted ) to the title .

Great alternative to squarebody K5, the 4spd alone makes this rig shine. As LMC also sells products for this gen Dodge trucks it’ll likely be a fairly easy vehicle to improve

Whoever was responsible for the shift lever should have spent a little more time on it, to see if they could get one more bend into what is already a very cool and serious-looking shifter.

If that’s a grannyt+3-speed transmission, that shifter probably hugs the contours of the dashboard in first gear.
