21K Original Miles! 1967 Ford Bronco Sport

As you probably know, first-generation Broncos continue to be very popular. Finding one that has low mileage with uncut quarter panels is almost unheard of. This 1967 Sport model can be found here on Facebook Marketplace with an asking price of $15,000. Located in Philadelphia, PA, there isn’t any information in the ad regarding how this one has averaged less than 400 miles per year.

Here is a good shot of the driver’s fender. You can tell the rust is mainly on the surface and has not eaten through the sheet metal. With some TLC and a bit of prevention to keep it from spreading, this Bronco can be driven for years without fear of major rust issues.

The engine is a 289 cubic inch V8 with a 3-speed manual transmission. There isn’t any information in the ad regarding the condition, but it looks original and hopefully runs well. If the new owner lives in a hot climate, an aluminum radiator swap would be a good idea. The old small radiator on these trucks doesn’t cool a V8 engine very well.

The interior looks stock and untouched as well. You can see the floor plan by the driver’s feet is pretty rusty which is very common on first-generation Broncos. There are a ton of sources for sheet metal and fixing the floor won’t be a big deal. The driver’s seat has a few tears but looks pretty good for fifty years old. As you can imagine, the back seat is in great shape as well. Again, a nice original example of an untouched Bronco on the inside as well.

Overall, this truck looks like it is very straight and would make a great vehicle for someone. I think it would be a shame to restore it at this point since they are “only original once,” but I guess that’s up to the new owner. What would you do with this one if it was yours?

Bought a Blazer over the Bronco but if I’d bought the Bronco the first thing I would have done was modify the rear quarters. Getting tires under the back not withstanding, it sure improves the looks.

And here we go again. The only thing I can figure, is these people really don’t know what a vehicle with 20K miles looks like.Even a kindergartner could see it’s not 20K miles. Besides, miles on a vehicle like this shouldn’t be the claim, just the fact it’s in one piece is really the catch. 20K miles,,,,and it’s gone, so some sucker got it.

If that 20k mile number can’t be documented or verified in any way, I think it’s safe not to uncritically repeat that claim here. Looking at this truck, I would bet good money that the actual mileage isn’t that low.

By the way…I’m a billionaire inventor with seven houses and a supermodel girlfriend, and all of you will just have to take my word on it!

This truck has a lot of neat one-year-only pieces on it since it’s a ’67 Sport. Unfortunately the ad doesn’t show pictures of any the critical areas where rust is the worst on these trucks. There has been quite a bit of chatter regarding this truck on various Bronco FB pages and forums. Caveat emptor!

Well for 21,000 miles. Someone must have slept in it for the seat to split. Speaking of seat. It looks like the seats out of a 66 Ford Fairlane. Did the Bronco have the same seat with chrome on the side? If so,then these parts could be interchanged with the other. To bad it never had any under carrage pictures . The radiator had been changed? Age shouldn,t have rotted it out. Someone must have let a mouse build a nest it it. When they left the cap off. I never did have any problems keep my 289 cooled. The people who sale these high price run down vehicles are really lucky to find someone to jump on it. That price it should have all new brake –cooling and starting system done, plus new tires. Think about the distance someone has to travel to haul it. Come on saler–get realistic–think what all the buyer has to do–to make the vehicle driveable again.

Johnny – I don’t recall the exact source of the ’67 Bronco seats, but I can tell you the chrome pieces on the side were a ’67 Sport only item and as such are highly prized.

Just wait for the next recession to hit then you can grab these on the cheap. When you can’t make your mortgage payment this month you’ll settle for what your offered ;)

Must have been parked under salt water if it only has 21K miles on it. Look at the rust and engine compartment. Might want to add a 1 in front of that.
