Only 3,645 Miles! 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS

We see some pretty amazing classics at Barn Finds, and this 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS is up there with the best of them. Its presentation is first-rate, unsurprising when we learn that its odometer reads a genuine 3,645 miles. This car is as close to new as you will likely find in the current market, which helps explain why it has generated strong interest since the seller listed it here on eBay in Ocoee, Florida. Bidding sits at $12,100, which is below the reserve.

Badge revivals are nothing new, and Chevrolet followed that trend by reintroducing the Impala SS to an eager buying public in 1994. Wheel shortages limited initial production, but an impressive 21,434 buyers paid to drive one home in 1995. This Impala emerged during that model year, finished in Code 41 Black. It was 1-of-3 paint shades offered that model year, and I admit it isn’t my favorite. I prefer Dark Cherry Metallic, but Black gives the SS a purposeful and almost sinister appearance. The car’s presentation is in keeping with the mileage claim. There are virtually no paint imperfections, and the panels are free from bumps and bruises. The plastic hasn’t succumbed to age or UV exposure, and the unique 17″ wheels look perfect. The glass is clear, and the badges are all present and in good order.

In keeping with its SS heritage, Chevrolet bolted something special under the Impala’s hood. The LT1 version of the Sequential-Port Fuel Injected 5.7-liter V8 produces an official 260hp, with a four-speed 4L60-E automatic transmission handling shifting duties. Power steering was standard equipment, as were four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The Impala is a user-friendly package that copes admirably in heavy traffic and will effortlessly devour miles on the open road. Its long-distance cruising capability is underscored by its fuel economy, with this classic capable of delivering 25mpg. Therefore, cross-country adventures will only require a trip to the pump around every five hundred miles. The seller states that this one-owner car includes a substantial collection of original documentation and is in excellent mechanical condition. It runs and drives perfectly, ready to provide a new owner with years of reliable classic motoring joy.

Chevrolet adopted a “one size fits all” approach to interior trim in 1995. All Impala owners received Gray leather and a range of creature comforts as standard equipment. These included air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power bucket seats, power mirrors, a power trunk release, cruise control, and a tilt wheel. The first owner further accentuated the car’s luxury leanings by specifying the optional AM/FM radio/CD player. The interior presentation is precisely what you would expect from a one-owner classic with a four-digit odometer reading. The seats exhibit wrinkles typical of elegantly aging leather, but the rest of the interior appears to be in as-new condition. There is no wear or UV damage, and no aftermarket additions.

If verifiable, the odometer reading could make this 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS one of the lowest-mile examples in existence. The listing indicates that this one-owner classic is well documented, meaning there may be evidence to confirm its authenticity. The ’95 Impala SS wasn’t cheap when new and was out of reach for many who aspired to own one. If you fell into that category, but are in a better financial position today, you may have a chance to own the car of your dreams. Are you tempted?

Being in my early twenties I did not appreciate what these beautiful beasts were in the 90s. I sure do now. Just stunning. Beauty, power, comfort, elegance with just enough badass. How could you go wrong? Great find, wish I had room for it.

I was never fond of these. I like the big Impala/Caprice as a people hauli, but somehow an SS badge on a four door sedan just didn’t work for me. This is a nice car though.

had a 96 in black. she topped out at 128mph on the a/c expressway great car but every time i took it out people on the road not paying attention were always trying to hit it. sold it. i would buy another 96 only but in green. that’s the rarest color and IMO the best-looking color. this dealer always has a boat load of cars for sale but i never seem to see them sell on eBay

There were some departments that had these as patrol cars and they were awesome!

My oldest brother bought one of these new back in the day and passed away a short time later.
My other elder brother was tasked with getting rid of it. I remember looking at it and telling him what SS stood for. He wasn’t impressed.
He put it in a classified ad and said he was going to sell it to the first person who showed up to take it off of his hands.

I think if I had the choice between this and a Mercury Marauder in the same condition, I would go Merc!
