Now this is an eclectic collection! This unique set of four kiddie cars is located in Hastings, Nebraska and is listed for sale here on eBay for a buy-it-now price of $8,000 for the set.
The first car was supposedly made in India as a copy of a 60’s Fiat sedan. It was created to demonstrate car alarms, and is 35″ long. It’s certainly unique looking, and I have to wonder how it ended up here.
The second car was constructed in 1941, and was called the “Screaming Eagle”. I’m not sure how much screaming it ever did with the washing machine engine that powers it, but I’m sure it looked the part at the time!
The third car is a home-constructed 1957 quarter midget with a confirmed race history including winning a points championship in Indiana in 1961 (trophy included). The smaller tires on the inside were intentional, the seller notes.
The last car is a handmade “MB” that is very evocative of an MG TC. The seller tells us it was made by a Mike Boetcher using plumbing pipe and wood. The four cars together really make quite a collection, although I’m not sure about the pricing. If the seller was willing to split them up, which one is most interesting to you? Being a British car fan, I’d have to side with the MB above!
I want the third car, which is actually usable.
Hmmmmm ..I think I could find a decent daily driver for 8K , Not saying their not worth it because I don’t know just saying I’ll pass.
$100.00 for the first one, $100.00 for a be second one, $350.00 for the third one, and $200.00 for the last one. The last one is one I like best but I still wouldn’t pay anymore than $200.00 for it. 8K are you kidding someone’s smoking something funny.
I’ll go $360.00 for # 3
holee crap!
I am for the brit! Sweet lookin ride for a kid. Too bad mine is 34 now, wish I had a grandkid. Wouldn’t hesitate to grab that one.
I’ll step up and say that he’s got too many zero’s in the asking price!!!!! I might go $800.00 but that’s if he pays for the shipping to my front door.
