43k Mile Survivor: 1967 Chevrolet Corvette

When people are looking for a classic car, some people will search for a project car that they can tailor to their own tastes and needs while other people will search for a completed project car or an original that has that “wow” factor. This 1967 Corvette seems to fit the latter category, and you will find it listed for sale here on Craigslist. Located in Orlando, Florida, it is listed for sale with a clean title. The seller has set a price for this beauty of $85,000 which he states is “lightly negotiable”. A big thanks must go to Barn Finder Rocco B for bringing this classic to our attention.

There is no doubting the fact that this is one beautiful Corvette. The beauty is more than skin-deep on this car. The seller provides a number of clear shots of the underside of the car and it is absolutely spotless. The car wears its original paint, trim and glass, and is close to faultless. The car is an award-winning example, with it scoring a total of 99.2 points at the last regional Top Flight Awards. The car is incredibly well preserved right down to the tank sticker still being in place on the tank.

Sadly for all the hype we don’t get much of a look at the interior of this Corvette. We get this shot of the driver’s seat and a partial shot of the instrument cluster, but nothing else. What we can see looks to be as immaculate as the rest of the car seems to be, and is definitely in keeping with the car’s Top Flight scores.

Engine bays really don’t get a lot nicer than this one. The drive-train is all numbers matching and date coded with a 327ci and a manual transmission. While this car is immaculate it is also a driver. The seller does use it, so it’s not a car that gets wrapped in cotton wool and just sits in a garage being looked at. This is a Corvette that you can climb into, drive and just enjoy the experience.

At $85,000 this Corvette is by no means cheap. However, when you consider how original it is and the overall condition that it is in, then the price is by no means outrageous. There is no doubt that it could be turned into a concourse car without a massive amount of effort, but if you did that would you then be game to actually drive it? Personally I’d leave it exactly as it is and just enjoy owning and driving it.

Nice turn key car. Project cars could end up costing a lot more and end up looking only half as good.

If it is an original L79 car it is worth the money.
Both Corvettes today are exceptional. Both would be great drivers with no apologies.

Beautiful cat but that’s a lot of money for a daily driver. Personally, I think it should be preserved. Their only original ONCE.

I really don’t care for these cars in the least! With that being said, I stand on my honest opinion that after the 60s Corvette was gone! The 60s were the best looking Corvettes ever designed! These new ones look like a piece of plastic blob!

To Dream, Dream the impossible dream. While I support the hutspah (sp?) of this seller, the practical experience of TRYING TO SELL a “completed project car” tells me the seller will either be waiting a LONG time to sell it or be very open to negotiation. This observation from someone with a numbers matching C-2 priced considerably less than this one and still waiting for a buyer after a year of advertising.

Seems like a knowledgeable seller, with an attitude, I find it interesting he advertised on Craigslist, instead of a more enthusiast oriented site.

Similar to the one the folks nearly bought in 1967 at Bob Beatty Chevrolet in Elk Grove, California —– This one is truly a keeper

Sometimes, it really sucks to not be rich. This is THE ’67 of my dreams. What a beautiful car. It would not be my daily driver, but can bet your buttons, I would drive it at least 3 or 4 days a week; not being reticent to take ‘er to the Interstate for long haul trips.
