Here at Barn Finds, we love it when readers spot a classic for sale, then take the time to make us aware of it by submitting a tip through our website. Unless it’s a vehicle a member of our team located, we also always want to give credit in our posts to the person who found whatever car we’re writing about, and this 1969 Buick Wildcat here on Facebook Marketplace is no exception. Unfortunately, the tipster didn’t include their name, so if that’s you, please know how much we appreciate your sharing this cool sedan with us! I sometimes hesitate to pose the question if an auto may be the nicest one left of its kind, but this Buick’s a beauty, and to say it’s at least a top-tier example certainly sounds reasonable. Head on over to McKinney, Texas, to check this one out in person, and bring along $11,000 if you’re prepared to pay the full asking price.

Regarding the condition, the owner deems this one an amazing original, then provides us with a history lesson about where this Buick has resided in the past. The story goes that Canada was once the car’s home, followed by a move to Seattle, which is where the seller purchased it in 2021. Wildcat buyers who waited until 1970 to visit their Buick dealer got a 455 as standard equipment, but the 430 found here is almost as strong, offering 360 HP, just ten less than its successor. The big block is said to run great, and it’s easy to believe when the seller mentions that this one is a blast to drive!

Although times have changed, green was a very popular color for autos in the late sixties, and it worked especially well on the larger body style cars from this period. A few small dings are mentioned on the exterior, which are believed to have been touched up years ago as they happened, but the sheet metal appears to still be in excellent condition overall. The only obvious blunder present is a dent near the bottom of the passenger-side front door, but it’s fairly minor, and I’m spotting no clues that there’s rust hiding anywhere outside.

Both the green color and fine conditions continue once you step inside, with everything appearing stock right down to the B-U-I-C-K letters on the factory Sonomatic AM radio’s push buttons. An exciting event in the seller’s life that he mentions is recently inheriting his great-grandmother’s 1969 Chevelle, and he’s eager to get started on its restoration with the funds that will be gained from selling this Wildcat. Are you tempted enough by this Buick to consider helping him out?
Good eye, Mike. The seller doesn’t mention the door ding for whatever reason 🤔. It doesn’t look too bad and the old school body man’s trick of using the old style toilet plunger on it might pull it out again.
Good point insofar as the probability to not needing the block heater there in Texas! The typical updated radio replacement might be the biggest issue to a purist and that should be welcome news to any prospective buyers. Good looking car with a classic V-8, a seemingly reasonable and realistic asking price with the money going to hopefully another worthwhile car rescue.
Buddy had one.. on the flatlands of the Praries up here. 🍁 Said it was the best highway car he’d ever been in. Effortless, and abundant passing power.
Basic, non-AC, badass Buick sedan with a big cube 430.
With two doors too many to some potential buyers. ;)
Too bad there’s no A/C. Rules it out fot me.
Beautiful car. I’ve never seen one in person before. I’ve seen pics of the 1969 Buick Wildcat, and my grandparents had a 1968 Wildcat. I hope this one goes to a good owner, one who will enjoy it and take care of it.
Nice cruiser here with plenty of power. No A/C no problem it has 4 60 air. I have a set of 15 inch Buick rims like those setting in my garage here in Las Vegas Nevada.
Great car here. However the 70 buick 455 only made the full size Buicks more formidable
really cool and would love to cruise it. looks super clean in the pics. i would just put a factory Waldron exhaust on it and be done with it
Not a very wild Wildcat.
Nice looking machine. Classic colors for 1969 and mostly unmolested. Aside from the crease in the left fender she looks pretty straight. I imagine this being perfect on the open road.
Brings back memories of our families new 1969 Olds Delta 88 4dr with 350 although this Buick is flashier.
Is this really a Wildcat or a rebadged LeSabre Custom? The interior doesn’t look right. The steering wheel is LeSabre and the interior door panels don’t look right.
Passenger side tail light looks like it droops a little on the right end.
I love these ‘Cats but the 1970 with the 455 would be a better proposition. A friend had one (a black ’70 2-door with bucket seats and Buick GS rally wheels) in high school. Very quick for such a big car.
