These two Triumph 2000’s are located with an enthusiast in Saint Helens, Oregon, and are offered here on craigslist for $500 for the pair! Full disclosure: not only am I a Triumph fan, I own an estate version of this car and love it. These were not particularly successful in the US market but sold well in the UK as a rival for the Rover P6 (2000/3500). The blue one is titled, but is an automatic. The white one is a little more solid and has a four-speed. Let me make this clear—I would be buying these instead of writing about them if they were not on the other side of the country from me. So I’d really like it if a Barn Finds reader would pick these up. I can help with a lot of parts contacts, and even some parts. They are great cars to drive and with the smooth 2000cc 6-cylinder are surprisingly modern feeling. Please let me know which one of you makes the trip to Saint Helens!

Nice find “Triumph-Man” Jamie! I had no idea that we Brits exported this model to the US. Don’t think we had the whitewall tyres on our models though. Like the GB sticker on the white car. Shame they are too far away from you………
you may hate me for this but i just shipped a car from idaho to michigan for about 800, i guess that adds up for 2 though, but maybe a shipper would give a break on from the same location, just a thought
I have been watching these for several months… price was a little higher before. I have so far successfully been able to resist buying them. I am only about an hour away from them. I really like funky older sedans -but currently have a 66 BMW 1800 ti (4 door Neu Klasse) that has been waiting in my barn for some time to get it’s fair share of attention, so continue to resist these. One thing that is really cool about them, but that does not show that well in the pictures is the tasteful touch of wood on the doors and dash! Looks really classy when freshly finished! And, of course, the 6 cylinder motor is a real plus, too.
@ gord, no, you’re not helping my angst :-) But its more expensive to NC…been there, done that, twice now.
@ Doug M., I have two extra sets of interior wood…go for it!!!
AAARGH. So badly want. Oh well.
This is what my Estate looked like BEFORE I tore it apart. MUCH body filler and bodged bodywork in the front meant a new nose cone and valence are in her future. I finished repairing the stuff underneath the nose cone first, and have some NOS fenders that are replacing the bent/perforated ones. Wish I could get back on this one soon…
Estate. Very nice, keep us in the loop.
Jamie-
Take a road trip! I grew up in St. Helens. Driving straight through, two friends switching off driving duties can make Atlanta in about 46 hours (really!) Not that much farther to the Carolinas. Just saying…
@Grant The sad part is, I LOVE road trips. It’s just not in the cards right now. This is one of those “I’ll regret this later” moments…but…it’s for the best.
