Unfortunately, the seller of this beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle is selling this project due to health issues. It is nearly complete and comes with new parts to finish the build. You can find it here on eBay with a current bid just over $20,000 and the reserve hasn’t been met yet. Located in Sandpoint, Idaho, the seller has listed very detailed information in the ad. Let’s take a look at the highlights.
The interior is a beautiful shade of blue and features a ton of new parts from Original Parts Group (OPG). There’s a photo in the ad of the floor before the car was restored. The seller says the car was built in California and spent most of its life there and in Las Vegas. The original factory trim broadcast sheet was found from the rear seat before restoration. Besides the beautiful upholstery, the seller says nearly every component has been replaced including the vent bezels, HVAC controls, lenses, instruments, radio, weather stripping, and lights.
The original 283 cubic inch V8 has been rebuilt and only has about 200 miles since it was complete. The block and heads have been machined and new internal parts include rockers, pushrods, oil pump & pickup, fuel and water pumps, rings, bearings, timing set, cam, and lifters. Most of the external accessories have been replaced as well. Overall, the seller says it runs great and shifts properly. The only major system the seller says didn’t need to be addressed was the factory wiring.
Here is a photo of some of the new parts that haven’t been installed yet. The seller says that the car needs to be repainted, so most of these parts are exterior trim that is ready to be installed after the painting is complete.
The seller admits there are some dents, dings, and cracks in the paint and bodywork, but it looks pretty good to me! What do you think about this one? Would you drive it as-is or would you complete the body and paintwork first?
’67 is my favorite year for Chevelle’s. Over the years I’ve had a ’67 SS396, ’67 ElCamino and still have a ’67 300 Deluxe wagon. ’65 is my second favorite, had a ’65 2dr hardtop. But for some reason most of my Chevelle’s have been ’66s.
This is one nice looking Malibu. You don’t see too many with the bright blue interior, especially with the buckets and console. Looks like this owner really did things right (maybe with the exception of the blue distributor cap). Would love to have it in my garage but have too many toys now. Maybe sell of a few projects for some cash and room? Trouble is, they become like children, which 3 are you going to let go to have another?
I have found taking a lot of pictures helps in letting go. Yeah, I had my fun with it, now it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. Pictures are a LOT easier to store!
The blue cap probably isn’t a result of a misguided attempt at color coordination, but rather a search for quality. It’s most likely a Standard Blue Streak cap, which comes with brass terminals and a higher grade material used in the body.

Really like this. Not much left to go here to make this a superstar. Beautiful car. I’m sure we’ll see “wish it was a 4-speed” many times, so I’ll be the first to say it but this car is sweet nonetheless. Good luck to the seller, and buyer.
I have to comment about the dual exhaust setup. So many times I see this & I cringe: when having duals installed, why not have the tailpipes bent down & outward at roughly a 45 degree angle? Keeps exhaust away from the chrome plating & gives it more of a “factory correct look”……otherwise a fine looking Malibu!!!!
Also meant to mention the tailpipe should exit just behind each rear tire.😉
One of the first cars in a while where 20k seems like a fair deal.
Like it, a lot. The ’67 is one of my favorite Chevelles too and after all these years in the car hobby I still can’t decide which I like the most – ’64, ’65 or ’67??? Never was a fan of the ’66 though. Then there are also the Beaumonts of the same years to further complicate the matter …
I’m pretty sure most of us could live with this paint job for a while, but when it’s heading for the paint booth I’d prefer it get a different color – white cars are so boring and there are so many cool ’67 colors to choose from!
