This 1947 Series 68 reportedly received a body-off rotisserie restoration and has covered approximately 4,400 miles since the work was completed. The seller has listed it exclusively on Barn Finds for $60,000 in Union City, California, with a clean title.

Available history indicates the car was acquired in New York in 2007 and later stripped for restoration. Its body was refinished in its original Caspian Blue, while the cabin received two-tone tan leather and mohair upholstery, matching carpeting, and a restored woodgrain dashboard. The current photos show a glossy finish, bright chrome, a tan canvas top, wide whitewall tires, and a remarkably inviting interior. The seller reports that the car has won a concours award.

The Series 68 designation identifies the eight-cylinder member of Oldsmobile’s Special 60 family. Beneath the long hood is a 257.1-cubic-inch L-head straight-eight that was rated at 110 horsepower when new. It sends power to the rear wheels through Oldsmobile’s four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. That combination was built for smooth, relaxed progress rather than all-out acceleration, which suits the car’s substantial proportions and open-air touring character.

The engine was reportedly rebuilt during the restoration, and the seller states that it starts, runs, and drives exceptionally well. They also say everything works, including the original-style radio.
