The four cars below may not look like much, but if you are into Cortinas, this could be a gold mine! Not only are there four shells included in the sale, but a whole stash of parts to go with them. Did I read that inventory list right? 6 transmissions. 33 hub caps. 41 starters! Wow, looks like someone enjoyed collecting Cortina parts more than they did working on them. The best surprise here though is that one of the cars is a Lotus Cortina with race history. I’d want to get more details on that one before bidding! Moving all this stuff is going to be a challenge, but if you are anywhere near San Luis Obispo, California, this collection may be worth some consideration. Find the whole lot here on eBay where the auction ends tomorrow.

Cortina Collection Up For Grabs!

Interesting collection.
The price is up to 10,100 with reserve not met then farther down it states “No Reserve”. Can’t have it both ways.
I also wonder what is under the red fabric cover. It appears to have a Ferrari emblem on the front of it and the smooth trunk line sitting between the 2 Cortina’s. Maybe a older Jaguar?
Could be. That’s an early ’70s Rolls SC to the right background in the first pic of this article so it’s apparent the seller has taste as well as LOTS of storage space! ^_^
If it is a genuine Lotus with racing history then restored you’re looking at $100 000 plus.the GTs restored in sight of that price too. This is a true goldmine
Talking about race history gave me an idea: hook up two or three of those starters to each wheel of a stripped shell. Add about a dozen batteries and you’d have one seriously fast ELECTRIC DRAGSTER! ^_^
If anyone is interested in having someone take a closer look, I’m in the San Luis Obispo area. Send a message to me here
Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, a Delorean, something under a red cover with a Ferrari-like rampant horse on it, but what I want to know is what the shell/body is next to the gray Cortina? Looks like the lovechild of a Jag XKE and a Porsche 356…
could it be an allard?
this is a highline dealer with 30 listings ebay. someone who is into cortina’s is going to get a gread deal at or near the current bid. great find
The shell body next to the gray Cortina looks like a decked XK120 or 140 body shell. Doesn’t look rusted either.
Is this collection was in England, they would go for a fortune – very popular over here.
Nice find.
I’d say someone got a bargain. Don’t love those “lost storage or lease space” when it’s obvious that is a crock?
