This one is just too weird to not feature! This giant Converse tennis shoe was built out of a 1993 Nissan Altima, so it isn’t all that old but I guess you could say that it “runs” great! Sorry for the terrible pun, I just couldn’t help myself. It was built for Burning Man and has been invited back, so if you’ve always wanted to experience the event in a giant shoe, here is your chance! The nifty trailer is included and looks to be quite the setup. I’m just not sure it’s all worth the BIN of $25k, but then again when will you ever come across another one? Find it here on eBay in Reno, Nevada with an opening bid of $15k. So would you take this shoe out for a… drive?

As Ed Sullivan would say –
“That’s a really big shoe!”.
…….and it’s made in Japan.
LOL that is something alright! I’m almost more intrigued by the WTF trailer. 55 gal food grade plastic drum for fuel LOL, why not?
If built for Burningman, the barrels might be for WATER.
Al
Of course it’s water – the most important liquid at the Burn after booze…..water to drink & wash the alkali dust off – the booze to help you forget you’re in the Black Rock Desert having…….fun? Not last year……….
eBay ad says one for water one for fuel. :)
horrid beyond words.
The floor mats were made by Odor Eaters.
Good one!
Lot of room in the boot, mate…
And who says Japanese cars don’t have sole??
Wooden era UCLA team mascot.
And for your sporty car types – definitely made for ‘heel and toe’ driving technique, but still, maybe no socks appeal . . .
My friend had an AMC Gremlin back in the 1990’s that had a 460/C6 drivetrain swap with an 8 3/4 Chrysler rear. He was wanting to get it painted and his painter told him that he would paint the car for free if he let him paint it white, paint shoe laces up the hood and stars on the sides right behind the side windows to look like a Converse All Star sneaker. We all had a good laugh when he told us about that!
Great Converse-ation piece! Kinda “sneaks” up on you…
Loving the witty comments, good job all.
