The boys over at Bring a Trailer just featured this stash of Citroen DSs and I thought it deserved a mention here too. There are about 40 cars and prices range from $1k to $4k depending on condition and body style. They all look like basket cases to me, but perhaps there is a gem in there worth saving. The seller claims that many of the cars are “mostly rust-free” because of their southwest location so there is some hope. Either way, this could be a great opportunity to pick up a parts car for your Goddess project. This find is a dream for a french Citroën addict.
But, my friends, you have to know that if these DS or ID are in this scrap yard it is because a major problem has brought them in instead of beeing repaired.
So I am afraid that all these goddesses are but parts cars and that the most needed and usable parts are long gone.
Nevertheless, body parts are hard to find, even in France, so finding a door or a bonnet for your beloved Citroën is a good way to approach that find.
