Huge Citroen DS Stash!

Citroen Stash

The boys over at Bring a Trailer just featured this stash of Citroen DSs and I thought it deserved a mention here too. There are about 40 cars and prices range from $1k to $4k depending on condition and body style. They all look like basket cases to me, but perhaps there is a gem in there worth saving. The seller claims that many of the cars are “mostly rust-free” because of their southwest location so there is some hope. Either way, this could be a great opportunity to pick up a parts car for your Goddess project. They are located in Colorado Spring, Colorado and you can view the post here on BaT or the ad here on craigslist. See anything you’d like to drag home?

    Hello guys,

This find is a dream for a french Citroën addict.
But, my friends, you have to know that if these DS or ID are in this scrap yard it is because a major problem has brought them in instead of beeing repaired.
So I am afraid that all these goddesses are but parts cars and that the most needed and usable parts are long gone.
Nevertheless, body parts are hard to find, even in France, so finding a door or a bonnet for your beloved Citroën is a good way to approach that find.
    Good luck,
Believe me, beeing at the wheel of a DS or ID is an experience no one will forget.
    Jean

I can do without BaT cross-post. Just my 2 cents!

Great cars but nobody knew how to fix them in the late ’60’s let alone today!

  4. Dave dietz

Darn, I was hoping to find a Simca hidden in among all those pieces of French majesty.

Well, unlike Jason, I for one don’t mind a BaT cross-post. I stopped following them when they changed from sharing good buys on cars to shilling collector cars… >_<

    • Jason

Well, yeah, exactly. That’s why I don’t care to give BaT any more web traffic.

Want the DS ute conversion badly (have a Corgi Whizzwheels 1/36 Tour de France camera truck that I converted into a regular ute and want the real thing), have always been into Citroens

Did Citroen make a rag top?
