Huntsville Collection: Alfa Romeo Cars & Parts

For $12,000, you could own a significant amount of Alfa Romeo spares and parts cars/shells, conveniently located Huntsville, Alambama. This collection shows a variety of Alfa cars stored outside and all affected by rust in some way, and the seller says the Buy-It-Now price includes a ’67 Giulia Sprint GT 1600, two ’69 Giulia GTV 1750s, and a ’75 Spider Veloce. If you’re looking to start a parts business, check out this listing here on eBay.

This auction ends Saturday, so step right on up if you like what you’ve heard. The seller notes all of the cars have been stored outside and suffer varying levels of rust issues as a result. I’m sure our Alfa fans could identify this hulk as either the ’67 or ’69, but I’m not sure myself. Either way, the Giulia is one of my favorite Alfas of all time, and the optimist in me says this one isn’t past the point of saving.

It seems like every Alfa collection has to have at least one Spider, and this one is no different. These Veloce cars are not exactly uncommon, so if this one has any rust at all, I’d consider it a parts car. This generation of the Spider also saw the introduction of the U.S.’ God-awful black plastic safety bumpers, eliminating the use of the gorgeous chrome units that graced European market models.

The seller notes the collection will come with four spare motors of unknown varieties and that the interiors from the cars have been removed and stored inside – but it’s hard to tell if that means every one of these hulks has a corresponding interior to go with it. If they do, this gets slightly more intriguing as a possible bulk buy. The seller will sell the collection in parts but would prefer to let it go as one lot. What would you buy from this Alabama Alfa collection?

Seller too lazy to proof read his auction? Most of the pictures are sideways.

Looks like it didn’t matter. It’s ended. Maybe it’s time to dig out the Alfa parts.
