Just as clean as the exterior, the engine compartment shows that this long fined beauty has spent a great deal of time indoors. Not shy about maintaining this machine, the seller has pumped close to $10,000 into this car with maintenance work, NOS upholstery, and other various items. There is no rust or corrosion in sight making this an excellent opportunity for a show car. It would seem that the 390 V8 is in good health and I would also assume that the factory air conditioning is functioning, which is a sweet feature!
Often with cars of this caliber, the biggest let down can be the interior due to use and UV exposure, but this Caddy is no let down whatsoever. The upholstery has fresh NOS material according to the seller, and the dash, steering wheel, door panels, and carpet are all in excellent condition. There may be some minor flaws to be found, but they certainly are not visible in the photos.
Like a fine piece of artisan jewelry, this art on wheels is absolutely pleasing to the eyes. The chrome and paint appear like new, and there is no evidence of rust or any damage for that matter. Based on its history and the seller’s claims, this Caddy is a rust free survivor. I think the only gripe I could bring forward about this car is that the body trim does not align from the front fenders to the doors. Looking closer the panel gaps seem a bit disproportionate, but this observation takes nothing away from this beautiful survivor. Virtually perfect through and through, would you jump in this Caddy for the asking price?
Why call it a survivor then go on to say that $10,000 was just spent to make it look like a survivor?
Mechanically refreshing a vehicle does not detract from the fact that the car is a survivor. The NOS re upholstery, being NOS, IMO, still keeps the car as a survivor. A beautiful car !
Survivor means as original as possible, and not restored. Cars that have had significant restoration work done are restored, not survivors.
I love Caddy’s and this is the quintessential American land yatch. Even today, drive this down the street and everyone, young and old, knows what it is. My son will even admit that most cars today are similar and sort of dull. Gotta love that looking hood. And considering the cost of cars today, even if you have to put a few bucks into this you will still come out ahead.
It appears to be a very nice car. I certainly wouldn’t kick it out of my garage, even though it has nicer digs in an aircraft hanger. I have no idea if the price is fair, but I am sure you could spend allot more on a car that wouldn’t be near this nice or more of a pleasure to drive and pamper.
Wrap it up, I’ll take it. Beautiful car, reasonable price. Likely 10 mpg, doesn’t bother me a bit. Just short the space and spare change to buy it.
She’s a beauty, that’s for sure! Panel gaps certainly weren’t perfect from the factory, and those 500 pound doors will change those gaps over time. But that can pretty easily be fixed. Great color, great looking car, and fully loaded. I like it!

Worth every penny over time….can’t make them look original…… even if the owner spent 10 k on the interior bits and maintenance and replacement of parts……….its as close as you can get.

Well, if the a/c works, Hagerty puts the price somewhere between $17,050 and $24,300. So I guess the asking isn’t unreasonable. Man I really like this one. Sorry I keep posting, but can’t get this one off my mind!
These were the eptimone of american luxury in their day, and on freeway, stock, you could see 15 mpg.
Owned a 62 coupe, that rode quiet and comfy at 90 mph+.
Wonder if this one had upgrade radio with reverb. unit sat in trunk behind back seat,. See this one has “eye on dash”, nice.
Ended up slight overbore, 413. cubes cam and lifter head port matched and polished, custom headers, topped off with dual Carter AFB.
Still got over ten running just front and rear twos but Sunoco 260 104 0ctane wide open,. and I should of been a share holder.
Wish I could afford this gem as a cruiser or car show they draw attention.

This green color is all right but Caddy had a dark green with very slight metalic, that realy shimmerd under city lights.
6 people and all gear can head for vacation spot in comfort and damn near run, on top end, with anything of its era.
Fair price with possible profit as a flipper in certain sectors of U. S.
Just take your time and enjoy the comfort, for you are piloting something with real presence.
