2002 was the end of the road for the Firebird in the Pontiac lineup, after being a staple since the car’s introduction as a 1967 model. The fourth and final generation had a long lifespan, from 1993 to 2002, and received several updates during this period before finally succumbing to changing buyer preferences and financial struggles at GM. This 2002 Pontiac Trans Am ticks nearly all the right boxes, so if you’ve been on the hunt for a low-mileage and nicely preserved final-year example, this could be the one you’ve been waiting for. This beautiful black F-Body is from Marengo, Ohio, and can be spotted here on eBay, with a buy-it-now price of $32,500. There’s also the option for potential buyers to submit an offer.
This T/A is equipped with the WS6 package, which is exactly what everybody hopes to find here. Under the Ram-Air hood rests a 5.7-liter V8 that cranks out 325 horsepower in bone stock form, with the torque number even higher. It’s paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, with everything remaining just as it left the factory, besides an aftermarket Borla exhaust system. This one-owner example has just 18,000 miles of travel, plus an interesting story behind it. It seems at the time of purchase, the owner was hoping to pass the car down to her daughter at some point in the future. However, as fate would have it, she developed a love for Mini Coopers instead and has no interest in American muscle cars.
The Buckeye State doesn’t have a good reputation for a climate that’s friendly to automobiles, but the seller assures us her Trans Am has NEVER been driven in the snow, and she emphasizes this in all caps. The black finish appears to have survived well, and I’m not spotting any obvious imperfections anywhere on the body. A reflection can be seen on the exterior, but the owner mentions that it’s caused by the garage roof where the photos were taken. A picture from the underside shows a solid platform, which seems to confirm that this one hasn’t been exposed to salt or other road-clearing chemicals used during harsh Ohio winters.
Everything inside appears to remain in top-notch condition, and it’s also nice to see those T-Tops overhead. Other features include power buckets on both sides, power windows, door locks, cruise control, and a tilt steering column, so this was pretty loaded for the period. The seller wants to downsize and move to a warmer area when she retires, so the decision has been made to sell this one. I’m certain this 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air WS6 won’t have any problem finding a new home, and I wish I had the room for it! What are your thoughts on this 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air WS6?

What are all the squiggley lines? Looks stupid. Like paint runs.
I thought the same thing until I saw the ceiling of the garage and realized it was reflection from it. The seller mentions it in her post.
At $32500? The owner will be taking this T/A with her when she downsizes.
$32,XXX is what our 2002 WS6 T/A sticker listed back JAN 2002. We just sold it for a friend 2 years ago when wife picked up her 2022 SS Camaro.
The Aztec of pony cars. Pontiac in the aughts made a whole lot of ugly cars that’s for sure. If I had the money to throw at this I would get the front clip from a Camaro and put it on. I mean all the scoops and nacelles are too much.
I always thought of these as the Joe Camel cartoon of the car world.
TRY AMC they had plenty of scoops/ vents / openings… this TA is the best…need some sun light do this TA justice
This thing is priced above an ’02 Z-06. I don’t think that this is half the car a Z-06 is so a very hard pass.
There is a following for the rare ws6 option and this is also a stick car and it is a low miles
I have had many cars and for the longest time its been 2 seaters but now that the grand children are getting out of thebooster chairs , i want them to feel the wind and a 2 seater wont do it , firebirds and camaros are once again in my views ,this one is pricey but really nice
YOLO
thats so you cant see the imperfections…if there are any????? MIGHT BE COUSIN TO THE ZEBRA
i understand where your coming from. i have a 1973 trans am and i can barely get in the darn thing.
