As much as I love Corvettes and bringing projects back from the brink of despair, I’m not sure I would want to take on this ’65 project. It has all kinds of body damage and some nasty rust in the chassis. That being said, it is a 365 horsepower car with A/C and comes with quite a few extra parts. The seller has had it for a few years now, but just hasn’t gotten to restoring it. They got it pulled apart before abandoning all hope, thankfully all the parts are boxed and still with it. With a spare cowl and birdcage, perhaps this project would be worth taking on! Find it here on eBay in Spring Branch, Texas with a current bid of $10k.
This project really isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s going to need lots of metal work, fiberglass work and a full mechanical restoration. It would seem the original engine is missing, as it current has a ’68 Chevrolet Exchange block. The seller does have a date matching block, which they are also including.
The seller doesn’t list what all is hear or if anything is missing, but they provide their phone number if you’d like more info. Whoever takes this project on will deserve an award, especially if they actually finish it!
Uggh,, Love Corvettes, but This one is one sad case. I usually complain about people who downvalue prices but I would be hard pressed to pay anything close to the 10k current bid. Parts or a donor for another is sadly what this is
Whoever takes this project on deserves a trip to the loony bin…
Wow…it WAS a 365hp car, now it is just a 365hp TACH car which was Milano Maroon. And the transmission is what? It would be nice to see a photo on a lift but it appears to be a complete frame replace. Somebody will buy it for $20k thinking it is a $75k car…and all done it will be a $50k car…hopefully.
What did PT Barnum say…?
Someone must need some VIN plates!
How could it have a clear title ?it looks to worth about 3k to me parts only
If the frame was solid it could be a good donor for a repro Grand Sport body.
Heck guys you seen Corvette prices lately. This one will be restored I guarantee it. I seen a lot worse than this… there are guys out there that got the three “T” to do this!!! ( 3 t if you don’t know tools, time, and talent)
4got da odder letter – stands 4 cash/finance/buck, no?
melt it down for scrap. nothing but a piece of junk.
