For some reason, four-wheel drives captivate US truck buyers. It might be because it gives the driver a feeling that they can go almost anywhere. Ford capitalized on this market when it introduced the Ford Bronco. This example is a 1975 Ford Bronco which is powered by a 302 cubic inch V8 engine. The truck is located in Mission Viejo, California. The Bronco here on eBay for $64,000 or best offer. This seems to be an aggressive price but auction results for these Broncos have been going up. There are 10 days remaining in the listing.
The interior of this Bronco looks very nice. The armrests look faded and the dash pad looks as if it has been replaced. However, the brown and tan two-tone colors on the interior look great against the copper metallic exterior. This Bronco has lived in California for its entire life and is smog exempt. The Bronco’s body is uncut and looks original.
There is not much information about the engine other than that it is a 302 cubic inch V8 motor backed by an automatic transmission. The engine has been clearly modified with aftermarket valve covers and an aluminum manifold. The seller states that the Bronco odometer shows 24,000 miles but is not certain whether this is original or if the odometer has rolled over at least once. There are several other new components on the engine including radiator hoses, spark plug wires, and an aftermarket air cleaner.
All the glass looks good and the seller states that the Bronco is rust-free. The undercarriage pictures confirm this and the exhaust and catalytic converter are not even rusty. There is some wear on the paint and a couple of dings in the body. The original paint is cracking in places but overall the Bronco looks like it has survived well. The Bronco is still wearing its original wheel covers, too.
Beautiful, but $64,000 beautiful? I hope it sells for this as it will drive up the value of my full-sized Bronco that I have to sell…because…my wife doesn’t like it!
Keep the Bronco, trade in the wife.
Tell her too bad! She has stuff she likes, you have stuff you like.
The wider-than-stock wheels make the hubcaps look goofy on this one. It’s not a $64k truck.
Goofy mirrors too. Shouldn’t the armrest and carpet be brown as well?
I had one very similar, same color combination, interior and engine, sold it about 20 years ago for $4500. Another mistake in life.
And I thought the other Bronco posted today for $35,000 was expensive!
Shorten wheel base, was’ent great …
This and the other Bronco on today’s Barn Finds are both extremely nice examples of the brand but it amazes me why which includes the International Scouts have gained so much popularity and such high prices.
What Steve Clinton said.
