If you’re a fan of honest survivors, this 1972 Ford Bronco Sport might be the one that gets your attention. Advertised as a barn find and purchased from its original owner in New Mexico, this uncut, unmolested two-owner truck checks a lot of boxes. With 81,000 miles on the clock and what the seller describes as “original patina,” it retains a factory vibe that’s getting harder and harder to find. It’s listed here on Facebook Marketplace and located in the Southwest, where dry air and open skies have clearly done it a few favors.

Finished in red with a white interior, the Bronco is said to have zero rust—an increasingly rare claim for any early Bronco, especially one wearing its original sheet metal. The body remains uncut, preserving the classic fender lines and factory trim. The paint is worn but original, and the aged patina tells the story of five decades on the road—or perhaps parked under the desert sun. The seller proudly notes the originality carries through to the drivetrain and interior, including the sliding bench seat, factory radio, manual transfer case, and even the rare factory air conditioning system.

Power comes from the original V8 engine paired with a “three-on-the-tree” column-shifted manual transmission. The seller has reportedly gone through the mechanicals to ensure it’s a reliable and daily-drivable rig. Though details on the service history aren’t fully spelled out, phrases like “mechanically sound” and “solid daily driver” suggest the basics have been covered, at least enough for weekend driving or cruise nights.

Inside, the Bronco looks largely untouched. The white upholstery has survived surprisingly well, and while no photos are mentioned, the seller claims the interior remains original throughout. It’s rare to see these early Broncos without modifications, and rarer still to see one equipped like this—with factory air, radio, and original seating all intact.

This is the kind of Bronco that collectors often dream of finding: two owners, uncut, and in clean, dry condition. If you’re looking to preserve an icon, this one might be worth a closer look.

Would you leave it as-is or give this survivor a fresh restoration?

302, manual, early Bronco 🐎 👍
Leave as is. Make sure it’s mechanically sound, preserve the paint / patina & have at it!
Can someone either restore this to original or leave it as is? It’d be a shame to cut it’s fenders and go restomod on it.
Sooooo , once again HOW MUCH?!!! Come on way to many cars on here with no price tag! Guess it doesn’t matter cause the price is usually ridiculous. But I digress. Peace!
Add says $65000
Add says $65000
Like you said….way too much.
the FB ad shows $65,000.00 asking price
So in the first picture in front of the water,
It looks like it has a lift kit.
Is anyone else picking up on that?
All the other pictures show it looking lower.
🤔
How come the rite up doesn’t mention 65000? Cause if it did I’m the begining most ppl would go to the next. 65000 what???
yea i am not seeing 65k here. every person who gets their paws on 1 of these feels it’s worth a pile of money. i don’t see how the prices on these keep going up and most other vehicles are dropping. i guess these people are just plain nuts.
many sellers dont know what they have, not many buyers know what’s there.
“original’ in the advert does not mean (in this case) what some think. Even w/all that I’d assume the guy crazy to price it as he does.
