Pair Of Triumph TR3’s In New York

The same seller has listed a pair of Triumph TR3’s for sale. Barn Finds reader Jim S. was kind enough to call our attention to the white car, which is a 1961 TR3A that has been up on blocks off the road since 1973. It’s for sale here on eBay where the opening bid is $3,000 with no reserve. The seller doesn’t tell us much else about the car, but does include some charming pictures from approximately the time the car was taken off the road. Time doesn’t seem to have changed much about the car, although the current pictures are very dark and there’s a limited number of them. The red car looks to be in somewhat better shape; it’s a 1957 small mouth model and was taken off the road in 2006. The pictures of it are also slightly better quality, although I would really hesitate to purchase either car without seeing under the hood. The red one is listed here on eBay, with an opening bid of $7,000, also with no reserve. Given the little that we know about these cars, pretend that you are going to buy one, the other, or both: which route would you take? Let us know in the comments below!

That white TR3A made up with fresh chrome, Wimbledon white paint, a nice red upholstery, and a nice dogwood dash with matching shift knob. . .Oh Jamie, this would make the best house warming present for me your favorite adult daughter in the entire world!!!!

Ana, I wish I could, but it’s not in the budget right now (as you know). But I’ll keep that in mind once you’re in the house :-)

Gee, these pictures are actually worse than your average Craigslist posting! I wonder if they run?
