While they built a lot of Ford Broncos, it is rare to find one this nice. Located in Campbell, California, this 1975 Ford Bronco is an uncut example of Ford’s midsize 4WD offering that competed with the Jeep and International Harvester Scout. The Bronco is listed for sale here on eBay and the auction has 3 days remaining. The current bid price has reached $33,000 after 35 bids. The seller believes that the Bronco has traveled approximately 75,000 miles but this is unverified.
The interior is very nice and the carpet looks brand new. The Bronco was built in October of 1974 and spent time in Colorado, Arizona and California. Approximately 40 years ago, the Bronco was repainted in its factory Parrot Orange color and the hard top was painted white at the same time. While the pictures look great, the seller discloses that the body has some dents and dings. The heater core leaked at one time so it is now bypassed making the heater nonoperational. There is a plate over the radio hole because it was cut for an aftermarket radio and then covered. The column shifter was moved to the floor at some point.
The Bronco is equipped with a 302 cubic inch V8 engine and backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. The rear gears in the Dana differential are 4.11. The Bronco sat in storage from 2004 to 2017 but has been driven more in the last few years. The brakes were rebuilt and the radiator was also re-cored to keep it from overheating. The Bronco has been modified with a 1.5″ lift, new shocks and a new wiring harness. The gauge cluster was also replaced so the miles are suspect.
The Bronco is said to start well but the 2 barrel carburetor might need adjusting. It has an auxiliary fuel tank but the seller has never used it. There is a small dime sized rust hole inside the tailgate on the passenger side. Overall, this is a nice looking Ford Bronco that appears to be in good shape.
HI, Bruce J. – at this writing, no active link to the auction…
This color combo catches the eye. Normally, I just glance, and move on. But…this is neat! Like the carpet color, the V8, the floor shift, etc.
This example just looks balanced, if that makes sense.
Agree with Big_Fun. Too, with the new Broncos eventually being released, the prices on these will probably skyrocket just as they did as I recall when the Mustang was brought back.
Clean machine!
When was the Mustang brought back, its been in continuous production since 1964. Do you mean Camaro or Challenger?
Steve R
The Mustang has been in continuous production since inception. Do you mean a particular version of the Mustang?
Beg your pardon, gentlemen, I should’ve clarified as to what “Mustang” I refer.
As the went from Thunderbird to Pinto it lost its identity; it began to reclaim that when it went to the Fairmont platform to newer Gen 4 platform again but when the latest rendition came out (2005?) the older ‘Stangs seemingly began to become much sought after.
Then again, in my short 67 yr tenure here I’ve found that other peoples perspective do not necessarily align with my reality.
Nevada; you’re not alone with that interpretation of Ford’s pony car – I have a hard time thinking of any of the ’74-’04 Mustangs as the real deal even though I know it’s wrong
These skyrocketed two years ago and never let up. This one will go over $50K.
To whomever buys this PLEASE keep her as is…Stock…We have enough modified examples.
I’d keep this stock and do whatever it needed to keep on running. Really nice color combo
3 sp on the column had a habit of getting stuck. Floor shift solves this problem
$35,000.00…who would have ever guessed?
Where do you go to bid on this Bronco?
The eBay link is right in the first paragraph.
Last year for smog exempt in CA.
