We’ve covered some bargain Jensen-Healeys before at Barn Finds. As a matter of fact, I included this pair of cars in a comment right here about a month ago when they were priced at $2,150 for the pair. Now they are advertised here on craigslist in Wake Forest, North Carolina (~25 miles from me) for only $1,250 for both! Both have titles, hardtops, and that early version of the Lotus 907 engine. Unfortunately they also come with a substantial amount of rust. But some good points are there too; the interior on the dark one looks good, and the cam belt is at least intact on the white car, so hopefully there have been no expensive valve/piston collisions! I was thinking about these at the original price, now I’m really torn. I’ve almost bought a Jensen-Healey twice, but really don’t need another project or two as we’re selecting a future homesite and getting ready to build. My race team has been wanting to go a little faster than the Marina can – hmm. Why not save me from this agony and buy them yourself!

I’ve now texted back and forth with the owner–he seems like a nice guy and a British car enthusiast. You folks really do need to come through for me here and buy these cars :-)
Restoration? LoCost? LeMons? The possibilities are endless…
Looks like a nice Volvo 544 sitting next to the black car.
I saw that too – looks good. I like the Jensens too – always thought they were nice in the old days when they made.
Jamie, I love your pleas for BF readers to save you from yourself! If only my friends had done the same for me a few times. If it’s worth it, do it. Maybe you can sell it to the wife as a money making/improve your stable move.
There are 13 cars in the “stable” right now. I don’t think I could sell it…but thanks for the thought :-)
i though you were buying the TR8 from the MD junkyard.
Jim, we are looking at that as a team (race car). And Grr–she considers a number of the 13 hers–and embraces the hobby regularly :-) I wouldn’t trade her for all the cars in the world!
Sell the wife. Wait – did I say that?
I would own these right now if they were near me!
But phx is a long way from NC.
Damn! Great find Jamie!
I am interested. Just sent email. I am in Raleigh.

The engines look good and would make great tables. I’d love to have these as a father son project but thr rust……. I like the interior of the dark one but the rust……. thankfully they are a long way away and shipping them would double if not triple purchase price.
