Sometimes it seems like examples of a particular make and model come flooding to market on a daily basis, and thus it is with Ford Broncos lately. We’ve covered several Broncos at Barn Finds this week, but here’s something different: a truly empty canvas for the talented restorer to exercise his imagination. For sale is this 1975 Ford Bronco here on eBay, located in York, Pennsylvania. The bidding is at $1,130, reserve not met. If you squint hard you can see a restomod in these bones, with a fresh Coyote V8 motor, Wilwood brakes, and a snazzy paint job. Thanks to Larry D. for the tip!
In reality, this vehicle has likely been raided routinely for parts. The VIN reveals it originally sported a 302 ci motor, but whatever was in there from the factory has gone missing. The tailgate is missing. The bumpers have been painted front and back – kind of a cool look matching the grille – but straightening or sourcing new ones will be in order. The steel wheels lost their hubcaps, and new tires are a must. The seller tells us it is an automatic, which would be the C4 three speed. Quoted mileage is 92,304, and the title is clean. This is the wagon body style, in the base Sport trim. The color is probably a faded version of Viking Red. All four corners of the body will require work, along with the floors, thanks to abundant rust.
The interior is another exercise in “what’s missing from this picture”. No seats. No rear interior panels. This is the second Bronco I’ve seen in a week with a mangled ashtray. The headliner sags. On the other hand, two steering wheels! And the gauge and some switches are present. The remains of the stock parchment trim is visible, barely.
The glass appears to be intact as are the hatch struts. We aren’t given any engine bay or undercarriage photos but it’s a safe bet that the patina matches all the way around. Is it worth making this parts car into a restomod? Or should it be consigned to donating the rest of its parts to some more worthy candidate? What do you think?
Lot of daylight coming through this one. Not many parts left. Maybe the frame, if not rusted, transmission and rear end and not much more. Can’t see putting money in a restoration or restomod.
Saw this one at carlisle ford show last weekend. wanted 5k for it. one rotten bronk. Wonder if the seller there didnt sell or if this is a flipper. Its a start for a brave and rich person. This thing was rotten up info the windshield frame. Good luck and happy motoring.
Cheers

That’s why it looks familiar. A friend sent a pic of it sitting on the field there.
Up until a few years ago, a truck like this would’ve been parted out asap! No longer.
Let’s see how much the VIN # goes for.
yup, guy in Armirillo sellin glove box lids.
Not a ’75, unless both front fenders have been changed. No marker lights.
Probably removed and filled when it was painted. Has a ’75-newer steering wheel and the VIN indicates a Dec ’74 build.
I’m squinting pretty hard…. I can’t see anything he is talking about except for the balance in my checkbook being sucked dry. I believe the time for this once desirable ride has long passed! It is probably one of those stories where three dozen people tried to buy it for the past two decades and they heard the infamous saying…. “I’m going to restore it, not for sale.”
$3,755 now, reserve still not met, what a pile.
I had to look twice to see if you actually wrote Restomod instead of Rusto-Mod
Yea the seller told me it was a 74, and it had a clean PA title. not even a parts car IMHO. Was firm at 5k. Good luck, you will need it.

Paying $5K for this parts car will drain your wallet fast. Guy is brain damaged to think this is worth more than $50.00. Don’t know what is wrong with people paying a premium price for Junk!
Current bid is $5900 with two days left. I wonder if someone wants to make another “Beach Cruiser Bronco” like they did on PowerNation TV. They started with a rusty one like this and decided that there wasn’t enough metal left after sandblasting it so set it aside and built a new one from the frame up. Good luck with it regardless of their intentions.
