Restored Frame: 1967 Chevrolet Impala Project

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Chevrolet sold over one million Impalas in 1965, a record never bested. The 1967 models were based on the same platform/design as the ‘65s and saw about 650,000 assemblies, which wasn’t too shabby on their merit. The seller has a ’67 Impala Sport Coupe that’s a work-in-progress that runs but off an external gas can. Life has gotten in the way, and he won’t be able to finish the project, so it’s available here on Facebook Marketplace for $10,000. The Chevy can be found in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.

The seller only provides two photographs, which is not the most effective way to sell a car online. This sounds like a frame-off restoration at one point, as the chassis is said to have been restored. Some sheet metal work has been done, and more may be needed. We don’t know how much effort will be required with the interior (no pics). The 283 cubic inch V8 and Powerglide automatic transmission are original to the car, and with a gas can, the Chevy starts and drives but will need some brake work. If you’re looking for a 1960s Impala to restore, is there enough here for you to make a road trip to see the car?

Two pics only? Seriously? “Here’s my car but I really don’t want to sell it”.And since it only has a 283, I’ll oblige.
