When you run across a car collection, you’ll find that it often focuses on a type of car, a particular brand, or even a specific model. In the case of this assortment in Gretna, Nebraska, it’s comprised of 1961 and 1962 full-size Chevrolets. None are before or after those years except for a lone 1956 Bel Air Sport Coupe. If you’re looking for a project to restore, or a daily driver, or even a donor, it might be here. Priced between $5,000 and $20,000 depending on which one, it appears you have your choice of which one (or more) to take home. This stash is available here on Facebook Marketplace.
The seller tells us more than 20 cars are available, and the photos seem to depict the majority. Sedans and station wagons make up most of the population, although there are some sport coupes and “bubbletops” in the mix. But no convertibles, at least not right now, per the seller. Most are Biscaynes or Bel Airs, but an Impala or two might be in the fray, too.
No specifics are provided about any of these automobiles, so you’ll have to contact the seller if you see something you like. Some of them may run, but most of them may not. Several look complete and in decent shape, while others are incomplete. When you see a collection like this, you have to wonder how it came to be that just 1961 and 1962 Chevies would be gathered. Except for the lone 1955 Bel Air which we assume is also for sale. Thanks for tip, Gunter Kramer!
Chevrolet heaven. If I could, I’d take a ’62 wagon.
Get you some knee pads an ask the wife an promise her the moon… lol
Me too Greenhorn! Nothin’ beats a
well done wagon! Why spend $100K
or more for an SUV or pickup when you could build one of these and daily
drive it for much less money. Here in
Florida, they’re asking $50-75K for a
late model truck and as much as $30-50K for anything 2010 or older. We
looked at a 2007 Ford Sport Trac at a
local Hyundai dealer who was asking
13K for the truck with $10K down! I
may have liked the truck but not that
much! For me, a good 350 V-8 mated
to a 350 or 400 Turbo Hydramatic and
a 12 bolt Posi rear axle would check all the drivetrain boxes for me. Redo
the seats, add a good sounding stereo (6-10 speakers would do nicely) vintage air and heat, steelies
with dog dish hubcaps a good set of
radial tires, and a nice respectable paint job and call it a day. Not that hard if you know how to build ’em.
Another fb ad….not the place to reach alot of prospective buyers…then again, maybe thats why its here..
Looking for a 68 Biscayne 4 door
