Stash of Toyota Pickups Found!

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

There’s a hidden stash of Toyota trucks in an old semi-trailer south of Denver, Colorado. The seller had several projects in the works but has decided to sell everything. While the trucks and spare parts aren’t going to be sold separately, if you have the room, this might be a great collection to snag. They can be found here on Craigslist and the seller will entertain offers over $6,000. This includes four mid-80s SR5 4×4 5-speeds and one 1987 4Runner along with tons of parts. You even get the storage trailer! Located in Sedalia, Colorado, take a look at this awesome collection.

Overall, these trucks don’t look in bad shape. I’m guessing you could combine all the parts and pieces into two or three great vehicles. If you’ve ever built a project and had access to a parts vehicle to pull from, you know how valuable that is! The seller has titles for all of them, which is a big plus if you are going to try and re-sell them.

The parts are too numerous to list, but it appears the seller was going to make at least one project into a rock crawler. Some of the spare parts include the following: new re-built 22r engine and turbo R151 Marlin rock crawler transmission, many transfer cases, driveshafts, radiators, engine cores, heads, manifolds, tailgates, and wheels. There’s also some bolt-on goodies like roll bars and aftermarket wheels.

Along with the red 1986, there’s also a blue 1985 pickup that is set up as a rock crawler project and a white 1987 4Runner. If you are a Toyota enthusiast, this looks like a find of a lifetime. What do you think?

These trucks were fun to drive and got great fuel economy!! Not as good for construction type work cause the beds were really small!! Overall if the price is right they could be a lot of fun!! I helped a buddy after high school put a lift kit in one of these!! Easy to work on but it was one of the first projects I ever did with metric tools!! It was kind of a pain the first time not knowing the sizes!!!

My first new vehicle was a 1986 4Runner but refuse to buy the back seat. They wanted an extra $800 for the friggin thing! It’s amazing they have little or no rust on them.

That’s cause our roads are salt-free, and we have 300 days of sunshine!

They do salt the roads in my area,( central Co.) main roads, mostly, but you’re right, it almost never snows, except in the mountains, of course, 10 miles away, but in the valley, we get nothing. Also, it’s so freakin’ dry. We have negative dew points. These types of Toyotas are probably THE most popular vintage 4×4 here.

We do however, pay the price for this dryness, as my car interiors and musical instruments suffer accordingly.
