While the C3 Corvette continued to look great throughout its long lifespan, performance and options for over-the-top engines began to diminish over time as the run went on. However, back in the late sixties, there was a fine selection of powerplants to choose from, including several variants of the 427, with this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette here on eBay featuring a very special one in its own right. The pair of Holleys sticking through the raised hood gives the secret away here, so if the idea of owning a supercharged Stingray sounds exciting, this one’s in Modesto, California, and our thanks go out to reader Curvette for sending us the tip here! The high bid of $10,700 is a no-sale, as it’s still short of the reserve.

The seller tells us there’s a 1969-dated 427 engine under the hood, with the Weiand 8-71 blower sticking through the hood as proof positive that there’s something truly out of the ordinary going on here. A 600-700 horsepower range is estimated, but there’s no conclusive dyno data, and the owner is unsure of the big block’s internal specs beyond its 10:1 compression ratio. He’s also never taken the Corvette to a race track, but reports that it’s street-friendly, despite the mods that might lead potential buyers to think otherwise. One might also assume there’s a manual transmission, but a built Turbo 350 handles the shifting, with 3.80 gears inside the third member.

With such a radical mechanical upgrade, the body and chassis are stated to remain stock, except for the hood and headlight areas. There’s no word on whether any fiberglass repairs have been made in the past or if the panels have always looked this good, but the seller points out that the exterior isn’t quite perfect. However, he does mention that the paint presents very well and describes the visual appeal as a show-stopper, with the car’s presence said to draw lots of attention at shows, cruise events, and driving on the streets.

No specific details are provided about the interior, but it appears to be in nice shape with numerous custom touches throughout. Gauges are present everywhere to help keep an eye on things, along with an aftermarket steering wheel, Stereo system, and a B&M shifter. While it would be helpful to know a bit more information about exactly what’s inside the 427, there are obviously plenty of known positives to get excited about here, and I’m curious to see what our readers have to say about this supercharged Stingray. What are your thoughts on this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette?
