While the C3 Corvette continued to look great throughout its long lifespan, performance and options for over-the-top engines began to diminish over time as the run went on. However, back in the late sixties, there was a fine selection of powerplants to choose from, including several variants of the 427, with this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette here on eBay featuring a very special one in its own right. The pair of Holleys sticking through the raised hood gives the secret away here, so if the idea of owning a supercharged Stingray sounds exciting, this one’s in Modesto, California, and our thanks go out to reader Curvette for sending us the tip here! The high bid of $10,700 is a no-sale, as it’s still short of the reserve.

The seller tells us there’s a 1969-dated 427 engine under the hood, with the Weiand 8-71 blower sticking through the hood as proof positive that there’s something truly out of the ordinary going on here. A 600-700 horsepower range is estimated, but there’s no conclusive dyno data, and the owner is unsure of the big block’s internal specs beyond its 10:1 compression ratio. He’s also never taken the Corvette to a race track, but reports that it’s street-friendly, despite the mods that might lead potential buyers to think otherwise. One might also assume there’s a manual transmission, but a built Turbo 350 handles the shifting, with 3.80 gears inside the third member.

With such a radical mechanical upgrade, the body and chassis are stated to remain stock, except for the hood and headlight areas. There’s no word on whether any fiberglass repairs have been made in the past or if the panels have always looked this good, but the seller points out that the exterior isn’t quite perfect. However, he does mention that the paint presents very well and describes the visual appeal as a show-stopper, with the car’s presence said to draw lots of attention at shows, cruise events, and driving on the streets.

No specific details are provided about the interior, but it appears to be in nice shape with numerous custom touches throughout. Gauges are present everywhere to help keep an eye on things, along with an aftermarket steering wheel, Stereo system, and a B&M shifter. While it would be helpful to know a bit more information about exactly what’s inside the 427, there are obviously plenty of known positives to get excited about here, and I’m curious to see what our readers have to say about this supercharged Stingray. What are your thoughts on this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette?

Seems like someone is overcompensating a bit
The freaking thing must Fly!
Get rid of the stupid shift light (it’s an auto.. duh), figure out what the wires and switches are hanging under the dash, swap out those idiotic white Autometer gauges (can you tell I hate those?) and you’d have a pretty nice vintage street car. I love the lunacy of stuff like this, even though gas is pushing $5/gal…
I would have bet money this was in Florida.
For 11k this would be a riot. I like the vibe, but question the taller hood bulge? I mean there is already a hole, why not show off the jewelry?
No nannies on this, wow.
I think it needs a tunnel ram atop that supercharger.
What a waste of a Corvette. Can you actually see out of the windshield?
i see the circus came to town complete with a birthday cake on top. what joke
Why oh why?
I like it!
Must have been a thing with the blowers on Vettes…
Years ago I went to look at a low mile 84 GTI (VWoA owns it now) that was in a guys nice pole barn. Beside it was a C3 Vette with a blown 454 in it, 4 speed too!
Recently went back to get another one of this persons VWs and it was gone. Sold to a neighbor…
Perfect weight distribution. For nose wheelies.
Normally, I am a purist, but I love this. I would probably go through tires too much, lol.
Reminds me of what a old running buddy used to do with jerky. Put it in the oven.
Overdone.
AWESOME !
The boy in me is geeked out.
For all the dreams and ‘when i get older’ ideas and claims,, this guy just went for it. Other than the silly shifter, shifter plate and tach, its a dream machine. Smiles for miles =)
Yikes!
I wouldn’t want to get bitten by this Shark.
This looks like something out of a MAD MAX film . Would be fun to drive . you would get your self in trouble in a few hours with it . good luck to ever buts it .
