What a clean car/truck this is! With original paint and interior both in tip-top shape, this is a real rarity. It’s located in Bedford, Pennsylvania and is listed for sale here on eBay. Bidding is beginning at only $200 (I can hear you yelling “Me, me!” from here), but of course the reserve is somewhere north of that!
Unbelievably, the bed has no dents or even scratches in it. I don’t know what this pristine vehicle was used for, but it definitely wasn’t hauling stuff! I don’t see parking lot dents either, and if you look at the reflection from the top in this picture, you’ll see that the paint looks pretty good too! The wire wheel covers are original and look to be in nice shape as well, and match up well with the thin whitewall tires. 59,824 miles are on the odometer.
Here’s that gorgeous bed. There’s a cover included, but it appears to possibly have shrunk a little in the pictures because it’s not fastened in the front. Really, I included this picture to remind you that it can be used as a truck! However, in this case, I’d sure want to protect the bed somehow.
Doggone it, this is a pretty interior! All the way to the customized floor mats, which illustrate how much someone cared about this vehicle, you really can’t tell this isn’t new. And with the red looking this bright, it must have been kept out of the sun as well.
Under hood looks nice, relatively clean and original as well. This is a 305 cubic inch V8 according to the seller, and with all belts in place I’ll bet the air conditioning works as well (the seller implies that the vehicle is completely functional). All I know is that I’d love to have it! How about you?
Nice condition and color combo, nice.
Love these esp the SS w gauge pkg, handling pkg etc.
I was good until I got to the interior picture! Whoa! No wonder it only has 60,000 miles!
When this was the norm, no one thought anything negative about it, but today’s colours are so very mundane these days that we are used to that too. Some day people will think how awful black and grey interiors were in the mid 2000. It will all come around again.
A set of chrome IROC wheels,a few minor engine mod’s. L-82 camshaft, advanced curve kit, header’s,new true dual exhaust with H pipe. Opened air cleaner element. This car would rip down the road.
I would store the 305 and do the mods to a 350 with vortec heads then you would have a screamer. love the IROC 16 inch wheels! It is in beautiful shape so store all the part and make it what you want!
Too nice to mod up. How many original examples are left?
I agree to nice to modify, leave as is and use it sparingly.
I am originally from Bedford and know these guys. They are big into corvettes and have a habit of digging up some very nice cars. When you go on ebay look at there other items for sale if you like vetts. They also have a lot of vette parts too. Good people.
I thought the same thing when I saw Bedford PA. I like looking at their Corvette listings.
Really like this one ( but is there any color in the universe besides silver? or black? sheesh) Obviously, “Valley Auto” detailed the heck out of an already clean truck. Again, due to the lack of interior space, a camper top would be in order. Pretty rare to see one like this, as back in the day, these were actually used as trucks, and suffered accordingly. Great find, and why it’s not 5 figures, yet, is beyond me.
With that silver/gray color combo, it looks like an ex flower car to me. Still sweet though…
Well, maybe, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car that was connected to a funeral parlor that had a bordello-red interior.
We have tons of these in NM, AZ, TX as we are truck oriented. Ford Rancheros too are plentiful & cheap.
I have had several of these, and they are great! This one appears to be a very a nice car. I certainly wouldn’t kick it of my garage, if only I had room!
They stopped making real nice el Caminos in1959 / 60. Same as the Rancheros. After 1959 no thanks……
The bed reminds me of an empty can of Spam.
