If you think that this 1980 Fiat Spider 2000 is stunning, you’re not alone. This classic has accumulated a significant collection of show silverware. The seller recently completed a long list of work to ensure that the new owner slips behind the wheel of a classic that runs and drives as beautifully as it looks. I must say a big thank you to Barn Finder Araknid78 for spotting the Spider listed here on eBay in Snohomish, Washington. The seller set their BIN at $15,000 with the option to make an offer.

Fiat released the 124 Sport Spider in 1966, contracting Pininfarina to design and manufacture the bodies. Interestingly, the same company performed identical roles on the Alfa Romeo Spider, and there has long been debate regarding which is the more elegant vehicle. The Alfa is undeniably iconic, but I find the Fiat has a crisper appearance that has aged well. Of course, that is a personal preference, and I respect it if your opinion differs from mine. This 1980 example is stunning, and that isn’t simply a personal opinion. Its trunk contains a selection of show trophies, proof that this Italian classic has impressed a few knowledgeable individuals. Its Dark Blue paint holds an impressive depth of color and shine, perfectly complemented by the new soft-top. The panels are laser-straight, and scrolling through the image gallery reveals no evidence of rust. The trim and glass are excellent, and although the Spider rolls on new aftermarket wheels, the seller includes the originals for those preferring authenticity.

Fiat raised the stakes in 1979 by offering the Spider with a larger 1,995cc four-cylinder engine. When equipped with the fuel injection found on this car, it produced 102hp and 110 ft/lbs of torque. This car features the more desirable five-speed manual transmission, though buyers could also opt for a three-speed automatic for a more relaxed driving experience. The seller has recently invested a significant sum in mechanical work, and the buyer will benefit when they slip behind the wheel of what is a turnkey classic. They removed the cylinder head from the numbers-matching engine and treated it to a professional rebuild. Upgraded fuel injectors should help the motor perform at its best. The transmission received a service and new synchronizers, so the shift action should be as smooth as silk. This Spider has been meticulously maintained, and the sale includes a significant selection of documentation, Service Invoices, and other paperwork.

Finding anything to criticize about this Fiat’s interior is seemingly impossible. However, since it recently received additional sound deadening, new seatcovers, and new carpet, that isn’t surprising. Anything the seller didn’t replace is in excellent condition, indicating that the Spider has led a sheltered life. The timber is spotless, the pad is crack-free, and there is no visible wheel wear. A modern CD stereo provides in-car entertainment, although I would rarely hit the power button, preferring the tune emanating from this Fiat’s exhaust.

We are barely three months into 2026, and this is the third example of the 1980 Fiat Spider 2000 to cross our desks at Barn Finds. I’m going out on a limb by declaring it is the nicest of the trio, and the show trophies support my belief. It is ideal for enthusiasts seeking a turnkey Italian sports car that will deliver an engaging, rewarding driving experience. The seller’s BIN figure looks realistic, and their willingness to negotiate could improve the situation. Are those thoughts enough to tempt you?

The big bumpers don’t do justice to the body design but it’s still a great looking machine.
