Few cars are more iconic than the Lamborghini Countach. For anyone who tracks this model, you’ll note that there are a few different versions (all of the expensive) that reflect the preferences of those that chase this 80s supercar. There’s the 25th anniversary edition models that feature somewhat clunky spoilers and gigantic U.S. bumpers, which was pretty much the ultimate poster car. But then there’s this: a 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000QV, with its much more svelte shape, amazing colors, and far cleaner appearance. This is the one I would buy if I was ever in a position to do so, and if you are, it’s available here on the Animoya Garage website.
On a side note, this Lamborghini is offered by a shop spun off of LBI Limited, which has long had a reputation for bringing some truly significant collector cars to market. Animoya is the next iteration of that company’s vision, created by Keith Koscak and Adolfo Massari. It’s not surprising, then, that some of their initial consignments are truly significant collector cars like this Countach, along with a desirable Porsche Carrera GT and a 1-of-45 factory Ferrari 348 Challenge car. Like most cars they handle. the Countach is in spectacular condition with a highly detailed service history.
This Countach has 56,965 KMs, or approximately 35,396 miles. The condition reflects the low miles, with a crack-free dash, minty leather bucket seats, clean carpets, and a steering wheel that shows very few signs of wear. The gated shifter is about as synonymous with a Countach as is the rear wing and the phone dial-style alloy wheels, as is the cramped pedal box and the inability to see out of the back of a Countach when attempting to move in reverse (just open up the scissor doors and stick your head out – after all, you didn’t buy this car to be a wallflower.
Now, one thing that occasionally crosses your mind when looking at a car like this is whether this is the last opportunity to buy at the current price point. Sure, $545,000 is a crap-ton of money, but it’s only going to get more expensive. However, even if you can potentially afford the buy-in, one look at the service records reminds you owning a car like this is at another level. Five figure service bills are a regular occurrence so be prepared to set aside some cash for the maintenance budget. Fortunately, a lot of heavy lifting has been done, so the next owner can simply enjoy the driving experience – at least for a few months.
IMO ……An ugly car ! ….I hate the rims. UGH !
Located in Pontiac, MI
OFFERED AT: $545,000
And as an added bonus, the previous owner did $91,000 in repairs (per website)!!
If your going to own a Countach, might as well own one of the poster version – red/black/gold, max scoops, rear wing.
5 figure service bills 💰 🇮🇹 😲😢😭
