1966 Chevelle Malibu: Got The Guts?

1966 Chevelle Malibu

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

This 1966 Chevelle Malibu was once equipped with a 327 and a 4-speed so the thought of rescuing it will probably creep into a few people’s minds. Would it be worth all the effort though? The drivetrain is gone and the floors are rotted out. This could be a handsome and fun to drive car though. Values are decent, but I’m doubtful that they are high enough to justify the cost to do a full restoration. The $1,200 asking price here on eBay does make it tempting though. It will be interesting to see if anyone has the guts to take it on.

I’m usually very optimistic, but I gotta admit this one is all but clapped out. This is a 400.00 parts car at best.

OMG did they pull this car out of a swamp and if they did I hope they actually found the skeleton remains of Jimmy Hoffa, at least the car would be worth something then.

I bet he gets his money in all of the “mania” lately, it would make a great parts car, if nothing else. I like this way better than the shelled out fastback mustangs from a few days ago.

Parts car at best. Don’t break it loading it on a rollback.

As Chris Farley once said….”Holy Schnikes!” I think those spending big bucks on junk with buyers remorse today call this “Patina”. Al Gore should buy this one….its the most “green” I’ve seen in a muscle car in a long time! Hmmmm….I have heard of a glass bottom boat, maybe this is a candidate for a street version!?

Fred and Barney will be coming to pick this one up. It’s just Fred’s style.

I do think this will sell though.

I don’t think anyone has the guts for this one. Not enough left for a rebuild, or even a parts car at $1200.

This car is not past repair as all the comments suggest. It’s a matter of the end product having a value worth the effort. I have replaced every panel on a car but the roof, but the car value was worth it!
