It would seem Jamie has a thing for AMCs and even found a couple of wagons last June. What could be more rare and unusual? How about this woody wagon listed on craigslist in Las Vegas? $2,500 will buy you this lovely example that needs a carb and its gas tank installed. It seems to have been sitting in the Nevada sun for awhile, so things like upholstery and door seals are likely a bit toasty, but perhaps the paint will buff out. This seems like an interesting take on the American dream, a station wagon with wood trim and a V8. It’s only got two doors, but the one on the passenger side is larger than the driver’s door! Special thanks to Robert R for the tip!

not to sure about the asking price, but with all options, it is really a rare car.
Pacers are rare because nobody wanted them. Only a AMC fan would be interested.
David, once again you are not giving me the credit on the ones I find and email in. Please correct this. If Jesse’s emails are being copied to you please review who they are from.
Hi Robert, My apologies. The post has been updated to reflect that you submitted it! Again, sorry about that.

This is a spoof! THat is my car! AND Is not for sale…..
I emailed Jay above to see if their claim was true and they sent back this photo of the car. I then called the number listed on the craigslist and an older guy answered. He claims to be selling a Pacer wagon and was able to answer questions about it. Weird! Maybe he found a photo online for his ad instead of taking a photo of the actual car?
Probably right on the guy borrowing the picture. Interesting to note in the background that Jay has a large concentration of the remaining Pacer wagons in the world! Someone featured one of these about 6 months ago in black that was done up nicely and actually looked very good. I was surprised, but inspired. But then, many cars “done up nicely” can be inspiring, so maybe that’s not a big deal. Too many cars, not enough time!
There was one of these just like it, same year and so forth for sale near me. Had 60k on the odometer and $1800. I looked at it and it ran great. It’s since been bought.
Here’s another one, 1978 AMC Pacer DL 64K Miles Auto Runs & Drives OPEN TO TRADES – $800 (Pembroke) hey, what to you want, it’s only $800?
