With the skyrocketing cost of new trucks over the last few years, the demand for pre-owned pickups will only continue increasing, especially those that came equipped with all the right stuff from the factory. The desirability is even higher for examples that have been well-maintained, such as this 1993 Toyota truck here on eBay. This one’s got the SR5 package, plus it’s a 4×4, with the near-immaculate condition making the odds favorable that this is probably one of the nicest remaining Toyota trucks from this era you’re likely to run across. This four-wheel-drive pickup is located in San Francisco, California, with the current high bid of $15,200 still too low to meet the reserve.

The history here can be traced all the way back to day one, as the seller informs us that his grandfather purchased this truck new in September of ’93, and that it has remained in the family ever since. The condition is described as great, and even a close examination of the photos leads me to believe that’s accurate. The California climate has been friendly to the paint, and with the body looking straight as an arrow, I doubt this one has spent very much time being driven on anything other than pavement.

Inside the bed, there’s a Toyota brand liner, which is covered by an aftermarket Snug Cap topper that’s the same color as the rest of the exterior. Even the workhorse section back here still looks decent, and while this one has hauled a few things over the decades, it appears the only issues in this area are some minor cosmetic scratches. There’s also a hitch under the bumper, so this pickup is ready to transport whatever sort of trailer you’ve got in mind.

The positives continue under the hood, with a V6 residing in the engine compartment, plus there’s also a 5-speed manual transmission. The 3.0-liter provides 150 horsepower, and the seller states that it has gotten countless oil changes over the years. A new timing belt has been installed in the past, and more recently, a full tune-up, which included new spark plugs, wires, and a distributor cap.

To be more than three decades old, the interior is still in amazing shape, with the seller calling it perfect. The all-season floor mats down below are a practical addition, and it’s also nice to find a sunroof on top. I’m finding very little to criticize regarding this 1993 Toyota SR5 4×4 truck, and am guessing that the reserve is set at a premium here, which is understandable. What are your thoughts on this one?

Wow!!! To see a Toyota pickup from this era 4WD with a stick. In this kind of condition is just amazing. You can even tell they just put a fresh coat of wax on it before taking its pictures. This must have been garage kept, especially with the paint on that fiberglass cap in such nice shape too. Very nice.
Classic Toyota here.
Cue X-Files intro, no wait, maybe from some sappy relationship TV hack. This site sure has a knack of stirring up some ghosts for me. This truck is of particular interest. While I’ll spare you the gory details,,,unless you want to hear them,,,no, okay, anyway, when I had my semi,( early 90s) my marriage was failing,( big surprise) and a couple brothers that had their trucks leased to the same company, had an attractive, recently divorced sister, I, um, took a shine to, and she had a truck exactly like this, sans the cap. Coming from a trucking family, we had so much in common. Never materialized, and I sold the semi and went back to the ex-wife, but didn’t last. Looked her up years later, already married, and no interest.
Oh, the truck, yeah, yeah, best ever vehicle, and it’s not easy saying that coming from a state that was decimated by imports. These trucks changed everything, and while I still feel a 4×4 extra cab Ranger was just as good, I realize, it’s not Russia, and we’re not all relegated to drive Ladas.
Oh, but there was a downside, a BIG downside, they rusted profusely in the very environment they were designed for. I don’t think the Ranger was any better in that regard, and didn’t deter buyers, as most all that bought these, bought another,,,for life. Can’t say that about the Ranger. These were great trucks and I often wonder what life might have been like had I stayed with “Patty”,,,,
By the time I rode in one of these, they were high school “beater” material. I car pooled to work with a colleague in his truck in the mid 1990’s, and it already had more holes in it than Bill Clinton’s denials about Monica Lewinsky, LOL! This was in New England, where road salt is applied by the ton in the wintertime on the roads, so most ended up as scrap metal on a return trip to Japan, to become new Toyotas, LOL!
This one is in outstanding condition, as even the interior is in nearly new condition! The California sun, while kind to sheet metal, is often vicious on interior fabrics and plastics. Not this one though! If I had the coin and the time to go get it, I’d be all over it! GLWTS!
Sold 8/29/2025 for a high bid of $32,100. I hope grandpa is happy, this seller sold grandpa’s 1966 GTO last month for $31,100.
