Only 4,103 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 7-UP cars were produced. Initially, the car was 7-UP inspired and designed for the NCAA basketball championship giveaway but it was canceled and Ford decided to produce a limited run for the public. They are considered the 25th-anniversary edition. This low-mile example is up for auction on eBay. Bidding ends Friday the 29th.
The exterior is finished in Deep Emerald Green with a white convertible top. The exterior appears to be in excellent condition and the seller notes the car has been garage-kept. The car is entirely original. It has received a new battery and tires. The car is equipped with factory GT turbine wheels.
The interior is finished in white leather and appears to be in pristine condition. All the seats are free of creasing or damage and are designed with comfort in mind. The Mustang came optioned with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, and power mirrors. It was designed to have superior cabin convenience and luxury and this example has been exceptionally maintained.
A 5.0L V8 sends 225 horsepower to the rear wheels via an AOD automatic transmission. The car is said to run perfectly and has no modifications mechanically or cosmetically. It’s a rare edition of one of the most iconic vehicles of the ’90s. It was primarily used for car shows and parades which explains its nearly perfect condition. This 7-UP Mustang could be the ideal addition to any Mustang enthusiast’s collection. The car is offered with its original window sticker, original keys, and original temporary tag. This is the kind of car that could go up in value immensely over the years as other examples disappear and decay. If you want this green beauty to be in your garage bid on the auction on eBay before Friday.
Sharp.
The 7-Up cars are good-looking specialty models in the Fox Mustang line-up. This appears to be a very nice example, having been loved for decades by a long-term owner. It looks like it would be a worthy entrant in the Unrestored class at Mustang Club of America shows. The window sticker (often seen) and 30 day tag (not commonly seen) generate bonus points.
Great find! These were the only Fox-body Mustangs with a white lower dash and console. Typically, these items were red or “titanium” when ordered with a white interior. One thing – these were not 25th anniversary Mustangs. People saw the “25th Anniversary on the dashboard and assumed this was an anniversary edition, but every Mustang built between mid-March, 1989 and the end of the 1990 Model year had a “25th Anniversary” emblem to the dashboard.
For as many as we’ve seen on here over the years, it’s hard to believe they really made so few of these 7-Up editions!
I was about to say the same thing Jason. Great minds and all that.
