This 1969 Olds Cutlass has been parked for the past 15 years. The body is rough and there’s rust here and there. A 455 V8 and a close ratio Muncie transmission were pulled from a 1972 car and installed at some point though. That made me wonder if perhaps a previous owner was lusting after a 442 and that suspicion was confirmed when I spotted a fender badge in one of the photos. We may look down on this kind of behavior when it comes to otherwise stock cars, but since someone already went down that path here, why not finish it? I’d want to address any structural rust, get it running and stopping, and then remove those 442 badges before venturing out into public. This 442 wannabe is located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and is listed here on eBay where the seller is asking $5k or best offer.

Big Oldsmobile fan but with what it will take to deal with this vehicles restoration who cares if the carpet is good….and that comment is just trying to give this one something positive to say. By the time you restore every inch of EVERYTHING else you are going to want new carpet by that point. 2K at best, and that is only because I believe it shouldn’t be crushed.
I do have a soft spot for an Oldsmobile and I prefer this style over the newer style.
not that I don’t like the newer shape I just prefer the older one..
I used my sisters 442 as my wedding car
I agree with Tom, $5k is to much. The inside needs work as does the outside and the topside and the bottomside. Maybe $2k is about right.
I would give him a grand for the motor and trans then he could keep the car.
If it’s actually a 1972 455/M20 drivetrain, it was from a V Code car. Since I run that registry, I’d love to get the VIN derivative. Nice looking car – just can’t go too crazy with a resto.
