Some people put 4,000 miles on their vehicles a month. This 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 has covered only 4,350 miles in 27 years. The pictures in this ad are commendable. They are clear and show the car from multiple angles. The Viper is listed here on eBay with 7 days remaining. The seller chose to list the car at a Buy It Now Price of $59,900 instead of an auction. There is an alternative option to make an offer, if you prefer. The car is located in Vero Beach, Florida.
This is a one owner car that has its original paint and original tires. The car appears to be in excellent condition and the interior looks brand new. The car has its original canvas top and side curtains. Power is handled through a 6 speed manual transmission. The first generation of the Viper was built from 1991-1995.
This 1995 Viper RT/10 is equipped with an aluminum 8.0 liter V10 engine that was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 480 lb ft of torque. The owner replaced the original air intake and mufflers with Hennessy products which is said to improve the factory rating by 50 horsepower. That is a lot of power in a light weight car and I am sure the sounds and feel of the car would bring a smile to any driver’s face. Magazine reports at the time placed the 0-60 time in about 4 seconds and the quarter mile in the low 12 second range. Gas mileage was 12 mpg in town and 20 mpg on the highway.
I remember going to look at these car on the showroom in the early 1990’s. They looked very primitive having no roll up windows. The dealer had one on the showroom floor that was roped off with stanchions. Check out the wheels on this Viper. The wheels are monstrous but house a well proportioned braking system to stop this beast. Dodge did include some nice features like leather trimmed bucket seats, an AM-FM cassette stereo and interior carpeting.
Just out of curiosity, where’s the barn? Looks like a (barely) used car with few if any needs.

99% if not 100% of vehicles on Bring a Trailer don’t need to be trailered anymore as they did when they started out showing project vehicles. Yet nobody ever comments about that on their website, they have evolved and grown past their original idea. I hope you’ll cut Barn Finds some slack if we show a few vehicles that aren’t actual dusty, dirty barn finds. This Viper is an interesting, low-mile vintage (27-years old now) car that we thought a few people would enjoy seeing.
Everyones a critic or a smart aleck Scotty., or even worse… both….. Pay no heed, love all the notable cars that get posted.
Scotty I hear what you’re saying but it might be different for BaT because one still might want to bring a trailer to haul home what you buy, even if it runs.
The BarnFinds name (still) implies something found in a barn, not a pristine vehicle that runs and shines like new. Know what I mean, Jelly Bean?

I find these clean cars interesting, even if they’ve never seen a barn. I’d probably look at both sites and I bet others would too.

PS BaT sold a $2.8M Benz today that needed nothing; certainly not a trailer. But there is value indeed in ALL fascinating cars! Keep them coming!
Scotty…just ignore the silly comments about the use of your name Barn Finds. It’s just a name. It doesn’t mean you have to only feature barn find cars…how short sighted can one be? Your site is about all sorts of vehicles…and most readers love to read about the variety of vehicles you feature. There are many businesses (and sites like yours) that have many more offerings than their names would suggest….such as cars.com, carvanna, carmax, etc. They offer more than just cars to sell..same with Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Burlington Coat Factory, Longhorn Steakhouse, etc, etc.,…you get the picture. So keep up the good work at Barn Finds…and please don’t change the content of your featured vehicles just because a few baseless complaints.
The name Barn Finds offends me also. The name implies that it features barns, but it’s about mostly cars. I like old barns. :-) Terry J
I guess I’ve never really looked closely at the engine in the Viper. Interesting that it has two throttle bodies. I wonder what happen if you only “rap” one while the engine is running.
I remember when these came out. WOW! I read many articles on its development and one rather odd engineering problem was hard to solve. Per Bruce: “I am sure the sounds………of the car…” . That was it, the SOUND. A 10 cylinder dual exhaust that sounded like a pair of 5s. Folks did not like its sound and it took a lot of engineering of the exhaust to get the car to sound right. :-) Terry J

I too followed it back in the day. I can remember thinking, no way will Dodge actually make one of these other than a concept car. But they did. I also remember reading Shelby trashing the German engineers making out of touch expensive cars. The original intent was for the Viper to be about 30K. It didn’t quite work out that way though.
I believe the 1992’s MSRP’d at $39,000.

Dumb idea. Can it even carry a weekends worth of luggage? Not that you would want to take it on a trip, too unpleasant. Loud, rough running, not much comfort. Chrysler blew it. Should have made a Miata competitor and sold it for cheaper. That would have been a killer idea.
I’ve heard the earlier slap on windows and top models are climbing like the water cooled Porsche models are in pricing.

It was funny to watch people walk by all those
