This beautiful Bright Yellow 1979 Ford Bronco sure shines in the sun! According to the seller, it features original paint, which is amazing for a 44-year-old vehicle. Sixth-generation Ford trucks have been skyrocketing in popularity and value over the past decade or so. Ford’s first full-size Bronco was only made for two years before a model change in 1980. This one is from 1979 and can be found here on eBay with a current bid of over $33,000 and the reserve hasn’t been met yet. Located in Caldwell, Idaho, the seller says the truck is a “Rust free Idaho classic Bronco.” Check it out for yourself.
If the paint is truly the original Bright Yellow and Wimbledon White, it is in amazing condition. Obviously, the oversized BFG tires and white wagon wheels are not OEM, but they certainly look period correct. There is a Marti Report that comes with the Bronco. It indicates this is one of only 72 built with these paint and trim options! I’d be willing to bet this is the nicest one of those 72 left, how about you?
The interior is loaded with air conditioning, tilt column, original seats (bench up front), wood grain dash, padded steering wheel, and original owner’s manual and service booklets.
The seller claims the 77,314 miles are original. The 400 cubic inch V8 is backed by an automatic transmission and a 3-speed transfer case. The four-wheel drive is engaged with locking front hubs. It also features power steering and brakes including factory disc brakes! Overall, this is an awesome Bronco. I’m not sure what the reserve price is, but hopefully, this one will find a new owner.
What an absolutely gorgeous Bronco !!!
I would love this in my driveway.
Good looking Bronco. Well I ‘think’ it is a good looking Bronco, but I’m not sure. The pics have this dark look and feel to them. It’s like they were taken at dusk or dawn, which is typically a good time. But maybe there wasn’t quite enough light? Perhaps someone better at photography can comment. If I was a dealer selling something this valuable on ebay, I’d want it to look its best.
Back to the Bronco. Looks to be in good shape, not-high miles, eye-catching colors, well-equipped. Doesn’t have one of those sky-high lifts. These sure have taken off in value in recent years.
Man! It’s here near me in Caldwell, Idaho. I’m in Boise, Idaho. This is one sweet ride! Hope I can see it in person.
These were built Ford tough 💪
Beautiful 4×4!! I would love to have that in my driveway. The 400 engine is a very good motor. I had one in a tow truck and it was quick. No issues towing. This bronco would be hard not to go off road and get it dirty 😂! I notice the AC compressor belt is missing. Otherwise it’s a get find on this site. Good luck to the next owner. 🇺🇸🐻
Rust free, eBay pics show on a lift but no undercarriage pics, what up with that?
Ok now I found under pics, also has after market fender flares ,but they are period correct.

Want to thank.B302 did not know you could get a Marti Report on a Bronco just Ford cars my Bronco has high back bucket seat interior and is an XLT with 400 and an automatic. It is two tone yellow and brown factory colors with factory aluminum wheels and a non altered body.thank again learned something today
Love the colors. About 15 years ago got a rare peek at a local collector’s vehicle collection. He is a unique guy and doesnt often let just anyone see his stash. Tucked in the back corner of one building was a 79 f150 lariat in this same color combination. It was a fully loaded half ton with even the 460 engine. Upon inspection I found the truck to have the original 180 or so miles (going from memory) on it and even had the cardboard Ford brighter idea floor mats still in place.
Apparently he bought it new from a dealer about that far from us, drove it home and it had never seen the light of day since. Still smelled new too. He was willing to sell it to me for 10k but at that time and stage in my life it might as well have been 10 million as I couldn’t afford either. Still regret not selling whatever I needed to sell to get it. True story. Wont give the name of the guy out of respect for his privacy but people who live around me will know who I’m talking about.
This bronco would be a nice add for anyone who likes this generation Ford
Brad, sounds like the man is sitting on gold these days with his new/old truck! Too bad you weren’t in the position to buy it from him then, I know the feeling. This Bronco is at $34,700 RNM with 4 hours to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if the reserve is $40k. One of the nicest Broncos I’ve seen in a long time.
Sold! $40,000!
