One of our readers just emailed us about a bunch of cars that they need to sell quickly. Apparently, Mike is retired, disabled, and low on funds so he needs to get rid of all these cars within a couple of weeks before he moves. He would like to sell them as lots if at all possible. There are 3 Lancia Betas for $5k, 2 Subaru SVX Sport Coupes for $5k, an Audi Quattro 5000, and an Alfetta Sedan. The cars are all located near Malibu in Southern California and you can contact Mike by email here if you see anything you’d like to drag home.

There are some nice project cars here.
That sounds like a great bargain on the Subaru’s.
The three Lancias are worth about 1500 for all of them. I have seen really nice pristine betas change hands for less than 5k. Other than being an absolute pain to work on, they are really nice drivers.

Mike just let me know that the prices are negotiable if someone is actually interested. Thanks.
The Alfa is half decent looking. Bring some 14″s.
Is the Audi a stick/turbocharged? That is a great price on the Subarus…depending on condition/mileage. They’re known for eating the standard automatic transmission.
Wish I had space and a bit of the green and folding. I’d take all the Italians.
OK, for a little funny……………if you look at the white Subaru, notice it is sitting on an incline with the slope downwards from the rear. The chock block though, is placed under the front of the front tire! Unless CA has one of it’s notorious earthquakes and the landscape changes, his attempt at safety is for naught!!!
Mike, nothing personal, just a little joking around!! Hope none is taken!!!
As for the said Subaru’s, always found that body style “different” in an inexplicable way! Depending on condition, could be a fun car for the price! Needs to advertise those in CO. Those tree huggers live for their Ru’s!
The Audi shown can only be a stick as they did not make auto quattros until the V8 starting in 1990 for the USA market. It can not be turbocharged because according to the hood and headlights it is a model 100 quattro from the 1989 -1991 model year. The 4 bolt BBS-style mesh wheels were standard equipment on the 100 quattro and do not fit the 200 series cars but make a perfect upgrade for the Audi 4000CS quattro because they are 15″ diameter and are the correct offset and bolt pattern.
There are actually four Lancias there. Two Beta Zagatos (a white and a red one) and two Beta coupes (a white one and dark red one).
I can tell the red Zagato is an ’82 because of the grille. That is the most valuable year because of fuel injection and the shield grille.
I bought the red one for 800.00 I got it back to AR and was totally amazed at how much no NO! rust on the entire body. Other than a dinged fender immaculate! drained the fuel tank, changed fuel pump and filters…..It’ll pop but nada. I’ve got to line out the FI. I believe these targa topped cars are SO underrated. Eventually I believe they’ll find a niche. I mean they only imported less than 4k of them and only a few more than that were made worldwide. So I drop 4-6 grand in it. Tell me how many other cars are that darn cheap? Check out my 1982 LANCIA that I;ve had for 33 years. She’s been thru thick and thin. The red one will get a sick ABARTH themed update. Jim
Thanks for the update Jim!
Additional pics, and no its not a 2.5 litre, just loved the badge. Jim
