Auctions can be a great place to find a deal! They can also be a place where “auction fever” gets the better of people and they end up overpaying for something. There’s an auction going on right now in Montgomery, New York that features some good looking Corvette and El Camino parts along with shop equipment and tools. It can be found here on AAR Auctions. The auction ends on January 5th, so you’ve got a few days to check it out. Have a look at some of the high lights like the 1966 Corvette above. Thanks to Pat G. for the tip on this sale!
Here is a great looking set of doors from another Corvette. These ones are from 1962 and the current bid is $300, which seems like a pretty good deal!
This big-block LT1 hood would be a great addition to any 1968 to 1972 Corvette. The current bid is $275. The auction information doesn’t say if this is a factory hood or a reproduction but based on the other items in the sale, I would bet it is the real deal.
This is a TPI engine from 1990. While the Tuned Port Injected engine was a fairly innovative design in the late 1980s, it has fallen out of favor with most people since they aren’t very high-performance. The engine comes with a wiring harness and has a current bid of only $110.
As mentioned before, along with the Corvette parts, there are some El Camino parts included in the sale as well. Here are a pair of fenders that currently have a bid of only $60. There are also some El Camino doors along with other various engine blocks, tools, and shop equipment in this sale. Take a look, you might find a bargain!
Are those 1964-65 El Camino fenders
I have a 64 Chevelle and these look possibly like them. The front sections look skinny but it’s probably them.
The price is cheap though.
I have an extra pair myself and bumpers in case my convertible ever got in a bender
At least they got the color right
Dec/Jan,etc. is probably not the best time for auctions
like this (for the seller),but might be some good deals for the buyers.
