Other than the seller claiming it was ordered for drag racing, nothing about it gives any indication it was raced. It could have made some passes down the track at some point in time, a lot of cars like this went down the track from time to time, but that doesn’t make something a race car.
Like every other 68-70 Charger auctioned on eBay, it will be bid higher than most think it’s worth, will it meet reserve? Who knows.

Thank you for posting the pictures of my car. I am the owner of the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T that is listed on Ebay. I purchased the car from the original owners family. The car was factory ordered with only a heater, AM radio, no power steering or brakes, 11 inch drum brakes all around, and no outside mirrors. The odometer shows 44,000 miles, but I can`t claim that the miles are original. I have never seen a car in better condition, with a perfect trunk pan, and nearly no rust. I`m lucky that the 1st owner didn`t cut the car up and install a roll bar. I`ve cleaned out about 50 pounds of sand from the car, which explains the front end damage when it apparently ran off the track when racing. Thank you for the story on my car.

The future Powerball me will buy this and have it looking better than showroom new. Then pop the hood and one will find, not a legendary slant six, but a mid 80s 2.2 four popper. Not a turbo, just a nice 98 HP standard one. Okay, might had fuel injection to make her sparkle. That would be so much fun at the shows. I would hide a video camerea under the hood to get reactions. Wouldn’t that be fun?!! Start a U Tube channel with that kind of stuff, go viral, might make some coin. I would trailer it to shows so people assume there is really something special hidden under the hood. Oh man, too much fun. At my old age, what else am I going to do with a zillion dollars anyway? That has got to be a “I don’t really want to sell it” sort of fella. Not taking $23,300 for that thing is crazy.
Nothing has me leaning in unless a hard hit in the left front is what causes it. As for set up for drag racing nothing shows that, and spend 125K and the cars finished value is15K does not make sense.
