Estate Sale: Pair Of Ford Mustangs

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Whenever you see a listing for an estate sale that usually means that someone’s unfinished pet projects are for sale. This one includes two Ford Mustangs, one likely complete and the other a work-in-progress. And while you’re looking, there are some extra motors and a bunch of tools. This estate sale will take place in Fort Pierce, Florida on January 28-31, 2021 and the details are available here on Estate Sales. Thanks, Bigcat, for pointing this one out to us!

Treasure Coast Estate Liquidators are offering a wide collection of items, including the two cars, parts and tools. Besides all that, you could also score some small furnishings, kitchenware, sterling silver, silver flatware and a plethora of box games. All of this is spread out in two buildings and a workshop. It looks as though the since departed owner had his share of stuff going on. Let’s check out the Fords.

1966 Mustang Coupe

This car is from the second full year of production of Ford’s new, hot pony car. More than 607,000 of them were built for 1966, including 422,000 of the “standard” coupes. This one may be your basic Mustang, equipped with working air conditioning, a 200 cubic inch inline-six (120 hp) and an automatic transmission. The color looks like Springtime Yellow, if it’s the original choice. I owned a ’66 like this at one time and it was painted dark green; the owner that bought it then repainted the car a color similar to this. The seller says this one is “good to drive.”

1969 Mustang Mach 1

The Mach 1 joined the Mustang line-up in 1969 and would see 72,000 copies built. If this car still has its original engine, that likely would have been the 351 Windsor V8 that could have been had with different carburetion choices. We’re told this one has a V8, automatic transmission and air conditioning, but it was “made for racing.” So, it looks to be in some state of transformation and will need a lot of work to finish the owner’s goal or to go back to original.

In addition, we see at least two other motors and transmissions in the shop that are said to be from Mustangs, but they don’t look complete enough to tell which ones they actually are. A guess would be that they’re candidates for the Mach 1 unless a V8 was destined for the ’66 coupe.

Never new why people selling anything would not show off the sell and get rid of clutter!
